Just for your information the PLO was established in 1964. Prior to that there were no Palestinians, only Arabs. The conflict is very complicated and I'm not informed enough to side with a specific opinion about the conflict as a whole, and some of the things Isreal is doing are horrible. I'm mostly sad for the dying of people on both sides. But the existing of Hamas must be one of the worst accomplishments by humans in history. If it was an armed resistance you would target the Isrealian military, not civilians.

Armed resistance to an occupation is legitimate, but it is still governed by rules that distinguish acts of war from crimes. The 7 October uprising had legitimate targets (the Israeli military and police) and illegitimate targets (civilians in their homes, unarmed people at the music festival, and other non-combatants). International law speaks to the distinction between combatants and non-combatants. We await an investigation of the 7 October uprising to determine what Hamas targeted. It could well be that many of the atrocities (crimes) of 7 October were committed by latecomers who just followed after Hamas battalions on the day the barriers were breached.
Israel, too, as a side in the war, has committed illegal acts that violate international law: targeting civilians, collective punishment of the people of Gaza, withholding food, water, shelter, medication for non-combatants, creating a genocide. There are Palestinians and Israelis alike who are on video committing war crimes---finding evidence is not a problem in this case. The perpetrators of atrocities should be named and indicted for crimes against humanity. With the case by South Africa and the work of international courts, this will someday happen.
It is important to note that Israeli helicopter and tanks opened fire at civilians at the festival and in their homes and this resulted in many civilian deaths. However this was Israel, not Hamas.

You do have to keep in mind that the designation of illegitimate vs. legitimate targets is not absolute nor universely agreed upon.
Is a reservist living on occupied land a legitimate target? What about reservists generally? Do you account for the fact that every Israeli must serve in the Israeli Occupational Forces army? If served in the IOF to any capacity are you really innocent? These are questions that need to be taken into consideration when assessing the number of "innocent" Israeli killed on Oct 7th.

Overview of the Palestinian Human conditions in Gaza Hamas is a political entity, much like the Democrats or Republicans in the United States, chosen by the people of Gaza through democratic processes. It has formed it's own army comprising various groups (according to the West, they are known as militants) such as Al Qassam Brigade, Islamic Jihad Brigade and other resistant factions. Israel's rejection of the Two State Solution is evident in the statements of it's official leaders, including Natanyahu and the Israeli ambassor in the UK. They have unequivocally stated their opposition to a Two State Solution. While recognizing your right to sympathize or support Israel, any person with a conscience would affirm that the Palestinians deserve the same freedom and independence as any other nation. For 17 years, Gaza has endured a relentless siege and blockade. Israel has exercised it's control over land, air and sea crossings. Regulating the entry of trucks, fuel, water and electricity and certain materials are not allowed to enter Gaza. Travel outside Gaza is restricted and Israel dictates every aspect of life, including the calorie intact of Palestinians, keeping them on a verge of starvation. Faced with such a brutal and oppressive regime for an extended period of time, it is predictable that any human being would revolt. "Give me liberty or give me death" is not merely a motto, but a fundamental human right. Israel implements the "Dahiya Doctrine" and harsh Red line measures. A search into these oppressive and inhuman extreme measures will reveal the excessive brutality, cruelty and the atrocities afflicted by such policies. Consequently, these circumstances culminated in the October 7th attack. From 1948, when the British forcefully established Israel on Palestinian lands, 50,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces from then till now, excluding the 25,000 civilians, including children and babies in hospital cradles, slaughtered by the zionists. Besides, there are 10,000 Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails for years, many of whom, are women and children indefinitely. This short overview, demonstrates the deep and long lasting suffering of Palestinian people at the hands of the zionists. I am more humane, if you are not, you are the problem, not them.

Not that's it's a justification. Israel has, however, done far far worse to Palestinians, just to artificially create and maintain a state where a certain ethno-religious group is a privileged majority. That is the heart of the problem and the reason for resistance. Not khamaas or whatever.
The only true civilians are children and those that refuse military service. Sorry if you live there and are or were a reservist, you are participating in a child murdering, repressive military dictatorship against an entire ethnicity. You are not a civilian. And since only Hamas has agreed to submit to an investigation of the events of Oct 7th and Israel has refused we may never know who killed the majority of actual civilians.

Yes armed resistance, and oct 7 was a military operation with some collateral damage. Given the limited resources of the resistance we can’t expect them to execute a perfectly clean military operation. The active duty occupying force soldiers are always fair game, the off duty soldiers and military trained and armed civilians/reservists are debatable as targets, and the purely civilian children and the like are off limits. But war is messy and they seemed to have tried their best to stick to their military aims and avoid civilian casualties. Plus we know a bunch of, maybe a majority of civilians were killed by the occupying forces themselves under the Hannibal directive, and then there were the handful of randoms, not part of the military operation, who just crossed back into their occupied homelands and may have committed some crimes

And with the help of Israeli rockets the collateral damage was increased four fold. Perhaps Hamas has an ally it doesn't know about; if they were really there to terrorize I mean.

Soon after Oct 7th, I heard a Hamas official say that while Palestinians were squashed in Gaza and gradually but violently pushed from their land in the West Bank, the world was looking away at Ukraine vs Russia. The situation was becoming so desperate that they had to do something to get the world to notice. That was their aim, their strategy. It had absolutely nothing to do with anti-semitism. Zero. Nothing. It has to do with desperation and with something that people wrongly think, namely that Palestinians always rejected and messed up chances for peace. But now even Netanyahu stopped lying about what was always the plan: never a state for the Palestinians, keep the war going on forever and meanwhile annex their land. All of it. Israel must be stopped and forced back behind its borders. Then we will defend and help protect her like we always have. But from now on the Palestinians too. So think before you attack the Palestinians from now on; playing the anti-semitism card won't work anymore.
