- A video showing how to replace the rear brake discs and brake pads on the Volvo 740 and 940. In this video we use the old brake pads but with a thorough cleaning. If you want to change the brake discs, it is best to buy new brake pads.
We have also bought a cordless wrench from Lidl which we will try to pull off the wheel bolts. I have bought the shop's tools a couple of times and it has proved to be good quality and durability on these. So this time we try the parkside brand. The advantage of this is that it was not so expensive and the function of determining the tightening torque directly on the nut puller is helpful.
When you need to tighten the bolts for the brake caliper and want to know tightening torques on these, you will find it on this link. There you have torque specifications for all categories on the Volvo 7/900 series. NOTE you need to be logged in to the forum.
