your dedication to bringing quality content is truly inspiring!
Really appreciate that, thank you!
It’s Amazing what you can do if you’re willing to sink the money into it. ALL Hobbies can be Expensive but the Love of Trains has only gotten Stronger. Thx! 👍
I noticed a number of people in the comment section being critical regarding certain things about the trains seen in this video. You are allowed to make critiques (just so long as you aren't being an ass hole about it, which none of you are), but this is meant to be a fairly open ended hobby.
People should be allowed to run trains however they choose, regardless of how realistic it is. Yes, I myself do get annoyed when other people violate elements of realisim like pulling a huge string of Like-Like, TYCO, AHM, and Model Power freight cars with a brand new, $500 Bachmann Siemens Charger with DCC and Sound (I'm not joking, I saw somebody do this one time), but I'm not going to go out of my way to stop other people from doing what they love. It's their train, it's their collection, they can do whatever they want with it. I have an eye for realism; that's where I get enjoyment out of the hobby, but not everybody wants to push themselves to be on that level. Some people just want to run trains just for the fun of it without adhering to a strict set of rules and guidelines that reflect real life railroading, and you know what? That's okay.
At the end of the day, ask yourself this one question. "Are they having fun?" If the answer is yes, then don't worry about it. Let them have their fun. . .unless their idea of fun is actually causing physical damage to their equipment without them realizing it. That's when you should probably step in and tell them that it's not okay to put 30 really heavy Roundhouse hoppers with plastic wheels that don't roll very smoothly behind a single Broadway Limited SD9 and expect it to climb the grades on the layout unassisted, or tell them that driving a Blue Box U33B around the layout at Mach 5 will wear it out a lot quicker, and they should probably slow it down since you're on the same track ahead of them and only a few car lengths in front of them.
nice
I really love your video is there any way we can see a blue prints of your layouts
I don't have access to them, as it isn't my personal layout
Hi, very good model! A question: what is the brand of these trains?
They include Atlas, Athearn, Scale Trains, just to name a few. People run all different brands here.
@@WRProductions OK, thanks for the information!
I find the high train speed distracts from a great railroad.
Not really. It's still a great model railroad. Keep in mind there are young kids running trains for the first time here, so they are just having fun.. not everyone understands to run em slower but a lot do..
@@WRProductions oops, thank you, i understand
The trains and layout are too clean, detracts from the attempt of realism.
Not really. Not everyone weathers their trains. And it is still an elaborate setup and impressive place for operations
Too Loud!
Ok?
Nothing drives me up a wall more than seeing unrealistically high speeds and/or abrupt starts and stops. This layouts operators fail on both counts.
Chill out. They allow the public to operate trains there. So there will be some "unrealistically high speeds"... not everyone knows how to run model trains "correctly".. Sorry it couldn't be perfect for you. It is still a hell of a layout either way.
