As a Swede it really angers me to hear about these guys fishing. If you fish you only bring home what you will eat. Otherwise if you caught a fish and do not intend to eat it you should remove the hook safely and but the alive fish back in the lake.
Awesome videos btw! 😃 I wish you a great time here!

I cant understand why people will ruin so beautiful scenery with throwing trash and behave like that. I think all the Scandinavian countries are known for being very clean and the people respect both nature and cities compared to many other countries. But it will always be idiots that dont respect anything. So all those turists that are coming there,s always the chance of some of them not being respectfull about taking the litter to nearest bin. Understand this was a swede but i have seen tourists here in Norway where i live ( Marnardal) Just tossing boxes and things out of the Windows of cars and it pisses me off. We have to take care of this beautiful country so we can continue to have the freedom to use all of our nature.

A week ago I was in a parking lot when a couple who were perfectly healthy, parked blocking a handicapped space and tried to leave their shopping cart blocking two other handicapped spaces. When I asked them not to, she threatened me and called me names. She didn't stop until I got my camera out. And all I said from my handicapped vehicle was really your going to leave that there?

FROM THE WEB:- Urinating in public is a criminal offence in Sweden and anyone caught doing it could face a fine for disorderly conduct. Public urinators in the western county of Västra Götaland were found to be the worst offenders, with 253 fines handed out. This was followed by Jönköping County with 157. A total of 191 were fined in Stockholm County. Fredrik Wallen, a spokesperson for East Region Police said it was not known why more people were fined in some areas compared with others.
“But generally speaking, we can see peaks of this when we are out and patrolling at large events and gatherings. It is of course natural that we have to catch these people in the act,” Wallen told Nyhetsbyrån Siren.

I don't know about Sweden, but in Norway there is a quota of how many fish each licensed fisher ( you must buy a fishing license for a specific area to be allowed to fish there, and the quota is specified depending on that area as well) may fish per day - though this might also be averaged out, not sure. I know of a fisher who got his entire quota for the season in a few weeks and left to do other stuff this summer, lol

Why eastern Europeans? I'm scandinavian, and the sad fact is that while the majority of us behaves respectful towards our nature when using it, there is a good number that don't care at all. Especially the younger generations out partying can behave with total disrespect to both other people and the nature they are out there to supposedly enjoy. It's a terrible attitude that must be related to how decadent and spoiled our society has become.

She filmed herself picking up litter on one of the Outer Hebrides. First of all, it have been fun to follow you two around in Norway and now Sweden. What you experience with the fishermen is not normal in the Nordic countrys. As i know there is no reason for trowing dead fish out in the lake after fishing it. Here in Norway that is illegal and you have to pay a big fee for doing that. The same if you are on a fishing boat. So why this two trow the fish back in the water i dont know. The fish they caught was Perca (Perch) or Abbor like we call it in Norway and are a very good fish to eat. In some lakes it be to many of them and in this lakes you should not put fish you dont want to eat back in the water again. But you never allowed to kill them and trow them out in the lake again. In the Nordic countrys we have some problems with people from east Europe that come her looking for work and live from 2 to 4 people in the cars around in places like this you was camping on with the fisher men. Sometimes it can be up to 10-20 cars ib some places. This people often fish for food, go to toilet around the place, trow cigarettes and garbage all over the place. Police have to come some times to tell them to leave the place so other also can use the place but also because they destroy the place. It is not fun when you come to a place with peoples like this because it look like they don't seem to care if they pollute nature or consider others. Do you notice if this fisher men was Nordic people or from another country? I had guess that this was East Europeans peoples.

Hi guys, am a recent follower but I'm absolutely loving your vlog. The quality of filming is really excellent and I love the combination of walks/kayaks, animals, nature and who doesn't love a drone?! I've just watched your Bear Lock episode and will be getting one of those too, so thanks for that info. I have a tip for dog and ticks (that's easy in the van) - I haven't googled whether it's OK with cats though, so double check that if you're thinking of using it on Summer. I use natural solutions for my dog wherever I can and basically I mix a cup of water, a cup of apple cider vinegar and 5 drops of lavender oil along with 5 drops of rose geranium oil into a small plant spray bottle, shake it and then spray Lupa with a few sprays all around her body, before I go for a walk, mostly just during tick season. I make sure to keep it out of her eyes, and instead just spray some on my hands to apply it around her head. Also a few drops of the rose geranium oil (it has to be the rose version apparently) on the collar is a good deterant too. I had a real problem with ticks on my german shepherd when I was in deer country in my van in early July but since I've been using that combination of oil on the collar every week or so, and the spray, we've not had a single tick. Hope that helps. Keep doing what you're doing, it's fab to share your journey👏

The blue berries was not what we call blueberries or what is know as bilberrys in english. it was Odon berries. Its no problem with eating them they can be little bit watery and bitter compared to our Bilberrys. (blåbär) if you are senstive to them you can get little bit stomach ache if you eat loads and loads of them.
It can be tricky to see at start because they can live at the same place. But they are normaly on a higher bush then Bilberrys. both the plant and the berry has a different color. The Odon is more light blue on the outside. They also has little bit different shape.
Another blue berry that can live at the same place is Crowberrys. They are very dark blue growing very close to the ground. smaller and harder. You can eat them but they dont taste that much and can be bitter and sour. Back in the days some used them in jams.
Lingonberrys should be picked when they are bright red, They dont taste that good to eat raw can be very tart. but you make tasty jam or drinks of them. Rårörda lingon is something many swedes love to their meat. You should try it. its not as sweat.

6:04 rough roads don't just shake you about they also shake up all your steering & suspension components & can boil the oil in your dampers. Rubber tyres, however, aren't that bothered, they just warm up (relative to speed), so let your tyres down a third & drive slowly.
Don't forget to pump them up again when you get back to fast roads.

    Hey girls!
Many thanks for another superb vlog. It was an abrupt slap in the face when I saw how these gentlemen behaved. Really embarrassing I have to say and it's not how we Swedes are brought up. We learn from early age not to litter. To respect and handle nature with care but unfortunately there's some bad eggs everywhere.
I've contacted the association and explained that these kind of behavior is not compatible with fishing and nature conservation.
They should know better than this. They know better then this.
Thank you for lettings us see the reality.
    Update:
One of the men on the video got back to me after I sent an e-mail to the association. According to him the numbers of dead fish and cigarette butts which was thrown in the water where much less than assertion but still bad enough. The lack of understanding was obvious but I'll give him credit for giving me a call and face my criticism.

You don't really need any unusual facilities to make jam, if you use jam sugar (sold in grocery stores and supermarkets across the UK, I believe). Let whatever berries you choose simmer for a while in a pot with a bit of water (if the berries are from the freezer, you might not need any extra water), until they are soft enough for you to mash them (admittedly, if the berries are hard, like lingon berries. that may take a while), then add the right amount of jam sugar (read the packaging), and then within another five to ten minutes or so of constant (or at least occasional) stirring your jam is ready.
Try adding spices to the mix as well, like cardamom or cinnamon or vanilla. Daring people might add a bit of chili.
