Are the brillance of Rooney Mara , Amazing a woman that does not need acting literally coming from a extremly wealthy family . She's the very definition of not just a another pretty face!
I am not lesbian, but this is one of the most beautiful romantic/love films I have ever seen! The scene in the car when Carol picks Therese up to their trip... perfect visualisation of the feeling "totally fascinated and in love"...
I truly believe that Carol is the representation of the love between two women, and we have Call me by your name for the love between two men, at least in a film. It's just... so beautiful. No offense:_(
It doesn't matter one's sexual preference; the intention of the movie (like the director Todd Haynes and the screenwriter Phyllis Nagy stated in many interviews) is that of representing a love story, not a lesbian love, but love in the purest sense. It's about sincere and profound love between two people, that is however considered immoral by society. Personally, I think that this love story is something so beautiful, so profound and indefinable, that everyone can somehow relate to it 😊😍
This movie really hit me. I relate so much to it. I've watched it a few times and I almost never rewatch movies. There aren't many lesbian movies that really hit the mark like this.
Was the same for me, their eyes meet and the acceptance ti each other is complete, is li ke saying here I am and I want to be with you for ever. Love is the only powerful in this World that can make life worth living irrespective of the form it takes.
There is hope in the ending. Hope for a true beginning. Terese's eyes are open. She isn't an inexperienced girl any longer. She has known the pain of love and has a scar to show for it. But the scar holds a love so matchless that finally she can meet Carol's full gaze on equal footing, finding it unnecessary to look away. They will be together again...as though for the first time and their knees will be unsteady for a very long time.
@@primolla4609 Actually, the book is written with an omniscient storyteller, which is describing every single part from the acts but otherwise is also describing everything from Therese´s eyes

Todd Haynes did such a beautiful job directing the movie and I think Patricia Highsmith would've really loved it had she been alive to watch it.
