This was soooooo good. I started playing ukulele three months ago and I think a lot about what I 'should' be playing to improve because I desperately want to progress, and reminding myself of how happy playing anything on the uke makes me. This video addressed all of those thoughts and questions whirling around and has been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much. I'm excited to pick up my uke even more now.
Absolutely brilliant video. Gave me a lot of perspective in terms of playing for myself vs what other people say. The message is beautiful because it doesn't stop at just the Uke but applies to other parts of life. Loved it, thank you!
Love this channel so much. The teachers on this channel are exceptional! I can listen all day. So so helpful. Love writing out the tabs while listening to tutorials and then practices their amazing renditions of songs. Thanks so much guys! Keep it up!
This is a great discussion. They key you brought out to me, is that I already know what I need to do to get better. I'm just not doing it. That is, I know that I should be setting goals for myself and plan my practice to work toward those goals. Noodling is fun, but without developing new tools, I am not going to grow as a musician.
This is why I keep an inexpensive ukulele in a few rooms. When I feel like just playing I have one in arms reach. Never thought it was actually helping with my skills. Thanks for the lesson!
