- This is for a 2014 Allroad B8.5 Premium Plus with HNav +. I'm hopeful this will help others with their install's in the future. These cars are different based on what radio (B&O, Concert & Symphony, etc.) you have to see what you will use during the installation process.
We knew very little going into it and overall it was fairly easy. I recommend having a buddy or at least another set of eyes as it helps to talk through what is needed (or more specifically what isn't) during the install. Thanks for watching and hopeful this was helpful!

I was going to get this, but opted for an 11" OLED tablet, Samsung S6/7/8 or Ipad work great. I have the stock screen, with the tab sitting right below, so both are visible and functioning. Can install any app you want. Can connect to the cars system via bluetooth dongle on the obd2 port. Can play movies, music, make calls, skype, etc. via bluetooth to mmi. Can take it out of the car and use it anywhere.
You can install with a bezel and mod the dash, or you can take 2 cell phone magnetic vent mount clips, and just attach to the tab and vents. I chose the latter, and it is rock solid with no vibration even off road, sits flush, and looks good. 90 degree ucb-c cable ran threw the vent, behind the tab, to power, or just run strait down to cigarette lighter, or if you go with the bezel it has the power cable built in, and you route it behind the bezel threw dash or vent to power.

Where does the aux out at 13:06 plug into ? I noticed the person who installed mine didn't plug it into anything and I think its the reason I have no sound.
Looks good. I have watched a couple of these installs now and it appears the bottom edge of the screen mount doesn’t sit flush in the dash. Did you overcome this?
I had the same issue after my installation, bottom line of the screen is not flush with the dashboard. Seems they didn't fit it well, so you need to make some workaround by elevating the right screws or twisting a bit the frame when fixing it to the dashboard
I didn't notice this issue as I'm looking from the drivers seat, or on occasion the passenger seat. It hasn't ever looked odd to me.
Where did you order it from?
Is that a whole new navigation/multimedia system or is the original MMI running in the background?
Do all buttons and all signals/codings/informations from the the car work a 100% like they should with the RSNav?
Original MMI running in background. Everything works as it should.
what happened to the passenger airbag indicator light that was below the hazard switch?
Its relocated to the left side behind the screen on the new plastic piece
Thanks for the nice video! I did it like instructed but I have two problems with my Audi S5
1) the original camera for reverse parking does not show the video. if I put reverse than the screen switches to original interface but nothing happens..
2) if I make a call than the other persons hears an echo

Do you guys get parking brake malfunction after installing? Mine works fine except this message comes on. Also do you have to connect the original hazard switch + airbag light module? Also just to confirm there is a power cable for the old 7 inches display doesn’t connect to anything on the new setup, right?
I have never seen this happen. Occasionally the parking brake comes on when I'm changing from reverse to drive and it thinks I'm on a hill but I'm guessing that's car related and no RSnav related.
Having the same issue with the parking brake malfunction. I'm sure it's due to my error. But if anyone has any idea please lmk. Thanks
@@SeanKnapfel033181 I think it happens when you attempt to turn on the car when the CAN gateway is left opened so components miscommunicate. And it won’t go away if you turn off and on the car. Only way is clear it by VCDS
Hi I noticed you never removed the plastic trims from the surround. You just fitted it, then fitted the new frame that came with the kit. Is this working for you okay?
That is true! We had to make one hole as seen in the video. It is working great with no rattles or creaks of any kind.
Did you remove the plastic trim? I’m not sure how to do it correctly.

Unsure. It also depends on whether or not you need the cable to connect inside the glove box based on the version of Nav that you have as mentioned in the glove box. I didn't have any sound when using UA-cam or other apps but I needed the cable for that. General use of stereo (Sirius, radio, etc.) worked fine from the beginning. The version of Nav that you have changes how the system communicates and what steps you need to take... or like you mentioned there could be something hooked up incorrectly. You would need to find out from RS NAV which system you would need to support your MMI 2g. I am unable to help in that regard as they make units for each generation. Best of luck!
I have bang and olufsen with Ami in glovebox . I’m only getting sound when I plug the aux in and aux together behind stereo or plug the aux out into ami. I hear people do it wireless . Why doesn’t mine work for this ?
I'm actually not sure about that. I didn't have B&O so I'm unfamiliar if there are different needs for that system, not to mention it's been awhile. I would look into RSNAV support videos to help you with this one. Best of luck
I don't like that the screen is crooked. Is there a way to adjust it to be level?
It's not actually crooked. It's just the way it sits at an angle and faces the driver. I've never noticed it being crooked at all so unsure what you're referring to. I truly think it's just the angle of the camera.
@@BryanBoardwell When you first put it on, you said yourself thtnit was crooked and you even tried to rotate it, but it didn't move.

Sorry again for the late response. You are correct I did mention that. I think it was my eyes playing tricks on me as it sits off on one side and deeper into the dash on the other as it's on an angle. I don't think it's "crooked" anymore, I just think it's the way it sits that appears to be crooked but actually not.
Can you help me music and retrocam isnt working
