You do not know how grateful i am to you Kevin for this video. I have never understood this but thankfully i found this video. I feel better about writing my finals next week Friday
Kevin, i used to get levels 2 and 3 last year in maths, but ever since i started watching your videos, it made a big difference in my maths marks. In term 1, i went from level 2 to level 5, and in term 2, i got a level 6, term 3. i got a level 6, too. It’s the holidays before term 4, and I'm watching your videos and practising to get that distinction at the end of the year. It's a crucial time because we are applying at universities with these marks, so thank you, and God bless you❤
Kevin ❤ hello thank u for the videos you've been posting youre really making an impact on the lives of many although you are somehow underated i cant comprehend why but thank u . Im writing math tomorrow nd i been struggling a lit so thank you
4:47 for us afrikaans learners, our teacher made it easy: Van -1 tot 4 so technically the smallest number up to the biggest. And for us not to use the wrong signs she taught us by turning the t's 😂
Hi Kevin love Ur vids and they help me so much but I do still struggle sometimes do U have any recommended methods or anything I should try to get better
hi this actually helps so much I'm just concerned about when writing doing this in the exam, are we required to show any type of working out or is this sufficient to get full marks?
Hello Itumeleng. Solving that would give x =4 and -4. Draw a number line with 4 and -4. Choose a number on left of -4. I choose -5. Plug into equation and get a positive answer. Choose a number in between. I choose 0. Plug into equation and get negative answer. Choose a number bigger than 4. I choose 5. Plug into equation and get positive answer. Your question is asking where it is smaller than 0 which means negative. Look on your number line. We got negatives between -4 and 4. Therefore: -4
Yes it is significant. Look at your second one carefully: -1 < x < -4. It says that x must be bigger than -1 and smaller than -4. Now, if you think about that carefully, you see that that is impossible. Hope that makes sense :)
Nope, that was deliberate and allowed, all signs including the inequality sign were changed for simplification, watch carefully when he starts the problem
Hey man, try do it one or two more times and see if you can get it. Using the quadratic formula is absolutely fine. Just make sure to insert values correctly :)
It's 1 o'clock at night and I have a math exam tomorrow I watched all of your videos and I'm so glad I can say I'm going to ace it thanks to you😭😭
lol
same
Lol...same
I'm doing the same ryt now
Did u ace it??
Me right now 😭

Thank you so much Kevin. After watching more than 5 different videos of inequality you saved me. God bless you

Wow now it makes sense.. Thanks for the video sir🙏....i was really struggling with these😂
This was a lovely explanation, I can never get confused again when it comes to inequalities
Thank you so much, I understand alot more better now💕
You've literally saved my life. Thank you so much❤
Pleasure!
kevin always saves the day, thank you for making this video's they help a lot.❤❤❤
Thank you so much my Maths teacher confuses me when she uses graphs to explain this
Thanks sir. I somehow always forget how inequalities work. This helps lot.
Kevin you changed my life in just 16 minutes 🙏
Thank you so much, i really needed this ❤️
Thank you Sir. Helped me out big time 😂.
this was a great video, I understand so much now. Thank you!!🤗

Hi there Kevin, love the video. I have a question about number 4. Help me to understand why it isn't x>/=1 and x
If you doing the parabola method it's a negative graph, so Kevin is right
Will be doing these this way from now on! Thanks❤️
Awesome :)
Made a mistake by number 4 it's supposed to be x=-1 12:26
Hi Kevin love Ur vids and they help me so much but I do still struggle sometimes do U have any recommended methods or anything I should try to get better

LEGEND OF THE SPORT
3 o’clock at night 😢
*morning
hi this actually helps so much
I'm just concerned about when writing doing this in the exam, are we required to show any type of working out or is this sufficient to get full marks?
Hello Zahraa, glad it is helping you. Yes this technique is fine for in exams :)
Kevin you are the best ❤
You said on B I must plug numbers between-1 and 20.. but when I plug 3 I get a negative number? What am I doing wrong? Number 3.
why is the answer in question 3 seperated?
You are the best 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Had to understand it now 🫶🏼❤️
thank you for these!!!
Sir Kevin saying you can choose any number , me: 5 him: 1000. 😂
Haha :)
Sir I don't know how in question 3 column A Its negative and why did you use a negative number instead of a positive number
I tried your method on equation where x*2-16
Hello Itumeleng. Solving that would give x =4 and -4. Draw a number line with 4 and -4.
Choose a number on left of -4. I choose -5. Plug into equation and get a positive answer.
Choose a number in between. I choose 0. Plug into equation and get negative answer.
Choose a number bigger than 4. I choose 5. Plug into equation and get positive answer.
Your question is asking where it is smaller than 0 which means negative. Look on your number line. We got negatives between -4 and 4.
Therefore:
-4
You have saved me from my fate in tommorows paper 1
Is it significant that it's written as x < 4,x 1 rather than -1 < x < -4
Yes it is significant. Look at your second one carefully: -1 < x < -4.
It says that x must be bigger than -1 and smaller than -4.
Now, if you think about that carefully, you see that that is impossible.
Hope that makes sense :)
Thank you so much
Hi sir Kevin for question 3 you wrote x^2 instead of -x^2 which makes your answer wrong coz I tried it
Nope, that was deliberate and allowed, all signs including the inequality sign were changed for simplification, watch carefully when he starts the problem
What happens if instead of
In that case you take EVERYTHING to one side and make the other side a zero.
@@kevinmathscience thank you so much!!!!!
Much love bro ❤
I used the quadratic function on example 3 but my final answer is not the same can you do an example with a quadratic function
Hey man, try do it one or two more times and see if you can get it. Using the quadratic formula is absolutely fine. Just make sure to insert values correctly :)
Thanks I'm sure I inserted the wrong numbers
why did it change at question 3
Thanks kevin❤
Man you are the 🐐
Kevin the GOAT .🙏
What buhle
Thanks ❤

Thank u🙏💯
Pleasure :)
Please teach how to write the answers it's really confusing 😕🤯
Hi Zakhele, I will try to make a video on that.
Is there anyone who got - 1 and 1/20 for using the quadratic formula on question 3 instead of factorising
you saved my life no jokes
I am so happy it helped!
duuuude tysm!!
No problem 👍
I am struggling to understand question 3
Nevermind I understand now thank you so much you really helped me
Glad you figured it out Marjorie :)
