Nice job on door. Cars looking good. Fyi next time you use those springs compressor. Install the compressed spring then jack front spindle closer to bottom of spring saddle, then stand to one side and slowly release tension. Lots of energy when spring compressed. Stay safe.
Gosh it does not surprise me it looks as good as it does. Everything you attack you strive for perfection. Question: where did you buy your supplies? I am hopefully going to be painting my 1949 8N tractor this winter. Great job
I watch your vid on front disc brake install. Indusrty standard is as viewed sitting in the drivers seat facing forward. Inturn pass. Side is right and drivers side is left.
Heck yeah nice job! I’ll be painting mine next weekend hope it turns out this good, I’m in the same boat as you redoing and learning everything for my 67 Stang. Also using all Eastwood products
I had a gallon of base which mixes at 4:1 so you get about 5 quarts. Same for the clear. I ended up with only a few ounces left of each. Not enough for another coat, and I did 2 coats of each.
Great job....but, I'm not an expert, but I think most muscle car pro-painters usually lay down more than 2 coats of base....I think generally it's like 4-6 coats of base, then 2-3 coats of clear.
I've watched youtube as well. That's normally what's done on show cars and such, and pros with paint booths. I'm happy with the paint job and that's all that matters.
That water dripping sometimes comes from your face mask, condensation builds up and drips out of the exhale valve. Yeah, sunlight will tell the tale. Ask me how I know.
Yep that's the paint. I used one gallon of base and a gallon of clear. Both mix 4:1, so you get about 5 quarts of each. That was enough to do two coats of each base and clear, including under the hood, trunk lid and interior side of doors.
Nice job….
I love this channel
Love the colour. Mustang is really coming along.
Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!
I think it looks fantasic. Great job!
Great job!
Looking good.
Thanks 👍

That is a good idea! Thanks!
Congrats! After all that work. Momentous occasion. I might have suggested "Flight of the Valkyries" for soundtrack, or save it for the first drive.
I can't wait till you finish it. Beautiful
Me too!!
Congrats. You should be very proud of your work.
Thank you very much!

Thanks Buddy! All of my paint supplies I got from princess auto mostly.

Very nice, how much base paint did you use?
I had a gallon of base which mixes at 4:1 so you get about 5 quarts. Same for the clear. I ended up with only a few ounces left of each. Not enough for another coat, and I did 2 coats of each.

That makes sense. Didn't even think of that!
What is your source of air, meaning brand, size and cfm? Also, which gun are you using?
In video #38, 16:00 mark, I show my compressor setup and in video #39, 15:00 mark I show what gun I used for the Base and Clear.
The paint, is it ITEM # 13726ZPA BRAND: EASTWOOD?
And how much did you use, 1 gallon is enough?
Yep that's the paint. I used one gallon of base and a gallon of clear. Both mix 4:1, so you get about 5 quarts of each. That was enough to do two coats of each base and clear, including under the hood, trunk lid and interior side of doors.
No sound
Sound is fine on my end
