Dudes. JB corrects you and fixes your skating just like that. I had one sesh with him and I felt like a super hero afterwards. I wish I could go back for many more.

JB - This live lesson format is really helping to connect with the lesson. Seeing the pupil struggle with the trick with your course correction is key.

Hey JB another awesome lesson with Leighton for us to benefit from, thank you 🙏. Whats really useful in this format is when you congratulate him on a good performance of the step before achieving the trick (lasy nose grab and scoop) This wouldn't be highlighted so well in other formats. Its so useful for us to see!

Hey JB, Thanks for sharing the video. That is the one I was waiting for since you've started your channel. I am just wondering how to lift the back foot/leg to take off. I always thaught that you don't need to pop, since gravity is doing its job and you sort of take of automatically. But you let your student pop.......I have the kick turn nose grab down for a while now, I scrape the coping but the little push or pop is missing that is leeting my back wheels of the ground. I hope understand it right now. I will try again this weekend. Just one last question, is a higher more vertikal transition better to learn or such QP that you were riding on in the video. Thanks again for the vid. Keed up the good work! Cheers

I'm gonna need some laggit knee pads, only using volleyball soft ones cuz they are easier to roll around in. I love grabbing my board and kick turns are easy, i got this. Haven't done an ollie for 2 years but it will be fine.

@@SkateparkLessons that's the plan right there, long ways to go right now but I am getting there slowly and steadily. Thanks for the encouragement man! Started uploading my progress, not so much for views but more so I can easy see what I doing right and wrong.
First - watch one of your tutorials.
second - I record my riding.
third - I keep in mind what you have said and look at what I am doing wrong.
      Huge thanks man!

The one big issue I had over time was this contradiction: I am leaning *down* to the board in motion to grab it but I actually want to get *up* and away from the surface of the ramp, all in the space of a second.

I have watched your previous video doing a rainbow shape backside ollie on transition (teaching same student), may i know is it a kind of prerequisite?
In addition i am trying to fly over hips, does it help? should i spend time on flying over hips, or a striaght up straight down nose grab backside kickturn?

@@SkateparkLessons Oh yeah! I will do, again!
I slammed so hard from a backside melon last year...went big, think I even popped out...mis-grabbed, finger-flipped the board and landed my butt onto the back truck and wheels. Got up, dropped in the whole park of course...but later I was crippled...the bruise was massive, looked like a tattoo of truck and wheels across my cheek...I was Steve Alba, just for a second, during that air though...It was inspired by some lame-arse younger skaters, in their twenties, noodling around doing rock bastard fakies on the smallest transition of the big bowl, getting in the way...I showed 'em! 💪
Trouble is, I slam like a mongo - splat! Knee slides? Maybe I should start practicing them...😉🙃💪☠️
