There are literally a billion backside air tutorials on youtube, but this is the best one ever. Somehow, this is the most basic trick that nobody knows how to explain. Maybe I'll finally learn this. Thanks.
Thx Brutha I grab the side of the board as well… behind the front wheel, but in front of the foot. Been putting out a lot of tutorials on this too… appreciate you doing this.👊🏼🤙🏽🙏🏼🫵🏼💯🛹 I know you said yours all feel the same but… when I grab late, I can’t quite create as much space from the ramp as I do when I grab early (or even early-ish.) It’s like I have way more leverage if I grab a little bit earlier. I can still create space but It’s a little sketchy. I’m probably grabbing too late and not getting a good push off of the wall through the tail with board in hand. 🤷🏽♂️ it’s either that or I need to get better at picking the board up when I grab late. When you grab early, the board is already in your hand so it’s really easy to keep it with you at all times, when you grab late, you literally have to grab it then pick it up and bring it with you, trying to keep it to your feet while you create that space from clacking the tail, lifting the lead leg, & then ultimately pulling in the back leg to make that space and avoid hanging up. Thoughts?💭 👊🏼🤙🏽🙏🏼🫵🏼💯
Good tutorial for a bs air melon grab. Not so much for an ollie bs air. Ollie bs air with no grab are a bit of a different trick. Although this can help gain balance to do a proper ollie bs air. I keep watching Jimmie Wilkins and am in awe of how he does his so dang clean. I feel really off balance in the air for bs but far more comfortable with ollie fs airs. Going to try this version as it will definitely help my confidence and balance. Thanks for a great tutorial!
The irony of switching the hand position for the bs air is that thats where i used to put my hand for early grabs down stairs. (I early grab properly now)
I found frontside grabs always nices but backside I get into the airs but not land them back unless they are big backside Ollies on a nice big bank/hip (I also ride my 8.38 street board on transition probably need a 8.5/8.6?) . Thx
There's a reason for the nosegrab thing : if you're skating back-to-back on a vertramp or in a vert bowl, you won't be able to move your front foot as far back as you do.
This is the best tutorial for this trick ive ever seen. Im gonna try to finally learn this trick at 37 years old
Good luck u got it 🤞

This is the best bsa video to date, I’ve watched a lot of them over the years.
Great tutorial man! Stoked to start trying these in the springtime 🙌
No one gave any pointers in the mid eighties, that was just how it was. This is fantastic by the way.
Getting the pump watching! Nice one for sharing
loved the video and get board shapes too
Great video man. Might have to start learning this again but at 49 the first step is actually the hardest. That's a long way to bend down. 😂
Totally!!! I'm 49 too!!!
Sick! ive watched a lot of videos on airs and tried for a long time. This video give me hope to do a backside one day
Great tutorial! Solid airs at the end
This is a really interesting trick. It's not quite an early grab but not quite a conventional grab.
Your style is so cool!!
Perfect video, Liam! I agree with you about nose grab- not as lovely as regular or "melon" and my back foot never stays on that way. 🔥
I agree with you , grabbing the nose is a horrible way to do a backside air ..
You got a new sub🤘🤘🤘
Gosh you left me so inspired i have no choice but to go skate before work
good tutorial mate
Thanks for this method! I love the early grab in front of the foot method!
Great tutorial, new sub!

WAPOW!!!
Another moose blank?
Ya
this foot placement is a VERT trick how to- most ppl njow olllie into this on 4 foots
Don’t learn backside airs grabbing behind the foot, learn grabbing in front of the foot
Im the weirdo that finds fs early air easier still learnin backside
2:52 and then you get so pitted
not sure i can early grab anymore lol nose version maybe more do able if you fat old and stiff
Ewwwwwwwww hes missing a bolt 🤢🤢🤮. Sike, i lost two yesterday
