Thanks! I’m new to all this, it helps a lot watching these to understand what is going on. I noticed you use a Midiplus AKM322. Would you have any other suggestions for keyboards/controllers? Affordable ones lol 😂
    Thanks again.

The Tuna Mini I'm using in this video is a pretty good stand-in for an AKAI MPK Mini - in a few ways it's superior. Midiplus makes quite a few different controllers, and I've been very pleased by the performance and affordability of all the stuff I've bought. I've got some off-brand MIDI controller review videos coming down the pipe soon - stay tuned :)

@@white2rnado thanks! I’ll be looking forward to seeing the reviews.
I saw a video using the “UVI Toy Suite VST files/sounds. I think they only work with Windows/Mac… can I use your type of raspberry pi setups to use those? Or they would only work on PC/Mac? Thank you again for your help understanding.

@@randbasic Yeah, VSTs are sort of like programs that have to be compiled for each system they're run on. FluidPatcher uses soundfonts, which is just an open sample file format that works on lots of different systems and softwares. You can find some good (free!) chiptune soundfonts at musical-artifacts.com/artifacts?formats=sf2&tags=chiptune

@@white2rnado oh so VST can be proprietary and locked to a host software program? Can things be converted between a a VST format to a sound font format? I hope I’m not asking too many questions.
