Tim Dillon imagines what the olympics will really be like in Tokyo this year. From episode 254: • #254 - Apocalypse Olym... Bonus episodes every week: / thetimdillonshow
I remember a simpler time. A time when someone would just nut up and shatter their arch rival’s knee with a lead pipe right before they’re scheduled to perform. #GoodTimes #SimplerTimes
"Not one day went by when she didn't think of lighting her house on fire, and locking herself in. The sweet smell of her burned flesh, signifying her earthly race had been run..." - This is goddamn poetry
I had a similar depression after studying abroad. I spent three and a half months in Ecuador, fell in love, spent a week deep in the Amazon jungle, snorkeled the galapagos and partied every weekend. When I got back I realized how dull normal life is
Saw a JRE interview with an Olympic wrestler, and he was saying how a lot of the athletes that knew they stood no chance were just happy to be there and eat McDonald’s .
"No longer a nazi... though not really comfortable with everyone of different races!!!" Oh man, I laughed like I was being tickled! Tim is a comedic genius!
On a side note - Tim's Meghan McCain video is the funniest video ever made. As Meghan would say, we should cancel the Olympics and start a war, better for ratings and jobs.
The only time I watched the Olympics were the Bejing Olympics, and that's only because a girl in my high school competed. She won a few bronze medals, and tbh I don't know what she's up to nowadays. The Olympics are all a big window for advertisers anyway.
Yeah I went to school with like 4 of the water polo dudes. My PE teacher was the coach the last few Olympics but he got hit with a bs canceling....life in the big city.
I can tell you where she is. She is working a normal job and either A) constantly reliving that past glory or B) never wants to think about that shit again because it’s too depressing knowing how life will always be a letdown by comparison
I don't know. Mississippi is the most obese state in the nation and not one of those San Antonio sized women were chasing a medal. Krispy Kreme though...
The culture has valued disability more than achievement for some time. If people are broken whether it be by trauma, a broken home, some immutable difference.. they're more susceptible to group think/identity instead of perceiving themselves as an individual. It's all by design.
Tim Dillon is roasting one of my childhood classmates at their darkest moments...if you think this is funny... Imagine how hilarious it is personally knowing this person 😂
As someone who’s seriously dealt with depression and has attempted suicide, I wasn’t sure how to take the first part of this bit, but once that inspirational music started playing and Tim began re-reading that article and riffing, I completely lost it. Well done.
@Kenneth Bone How exactly am I the one he’s making fun of when I admitted that I found the end of this bit completely hilarious? It’s not like I was offended at the first part, I just had no idea where he was going with the joke until the end.
It’s like the nfl draft when they constantly cover stories of the guys drafted overcoming adversity. It’s nice at first, but after a while it starts to kill the vibe and it takes away from the joy of draft day
That's a great point about mental illness. Some people really advocate for it but it's usually specific. Depression and anxiety is all that's talked about. I think this also applies to Asperger's. You always hear about the intelligent kind. You never really hear about the nonverbal ones who need constant care.
You need clips of "them" running in place at a big event before a race, exhausted with their hands on knees and shaking their head in disbelief, them training, their silhouette in the locker room
PLEASE ROCKSTAR ... GIVE TIM DILLON A RADIO STATION ON GTA VI
this needs to happen
PLEASE ROCKSTAR ... HIRE THIS SEAN RANDO TO GIVE YOU MORE BRILL IDEAS LIKE THIS
Could you imagine... that would be amazing
Holy shit that would be great
Yes please
That was a masterpiece of humor and nihilism.
Absolutely breathtaking.
He ain't lying. It's coming.
He's like a fat Carlin.
7 minutes in no laughter.. hes saying real shit I guess but he sounds like and old man complaining.
@@vans4menu You're a seriously dense person if you don't laugh at this. It's objectively hilarious.
This is breath taking? It’s just a guy bitching about mental health.
Holy fuck I was in tears once that music came on and Tim's describing the Olympian back stories , fuck me thanks for that you athletic individual.
This was such a classic skit 🤣 God bless dark humour!
I almost crashed my car. Thank you tim.

Patrice O’Neal was great at that too
@@TheSkyIsFalling93 A Patrice and Tim podcast would be incredible.
Would have
Tim was spot on about young people, social media and making mental health issue their identity.
Yeah it’s weird. It’s like those teenagers who feel guilty because their parents never got divorced.
Olympic cliff car careening would be worth a watch
Lmao
Actually a great idea just put a giant net on the edge to make it look cool and safe when they fuck up

Or cliff diving but it’s like really high and the divers have to be really dedicated.

Don't think it is only for losers

It depends, for young people it's duller then for old people. You will like normal life in 2050.
You should go for gold now🏅
Joe, you have experiences & travels & motivation to succeed so you can travel yearly like that.
