Just bought one of these and started carrying it as an everyday knife. So far it's absolutely what I was wanting. Sharp, easy to use and fun. I thought the size might be to much but so far it actually is a bonus as. its so easy to grip and fits my hand perfectly. Great review and I can't wait to get a few years of use on this knife to see how it holds up.
It's still my main OTF I carry! The knife has literally been fired thousands of times with no broken springs, I'm more than impressed. Thanks for watching Mystic
Ive wanted an otf for years, and recently started looking at them again and I'm so in love with this. The blade being centered hits it home for me! Ever want to sell this one let me know lmao! I like the heretics as well but the autocrat is just so sexy lol
I used it so much recently the blade finally dulled, Couldn't cut printer paper. I planned on taking apart to sharpen the blade, But I just deployed blade and used a ceramic rod (free hand) to clean up the edge! Worked fantastic. Thanks for watching and enjoy the Autocrat
@@gnarghhfps3239 Yes! I use a cotton swab to lightly oil the switch area retracted and opened, Then I use the dry end to soak most of the oil away. This leaves just enough to lubricate action without collecting much lint/dirt.
I’m of the opinion that DA OTF is for most purposes, fantastic for EDC. Getting it out the pocket, opened, used, closed and back in the pocket SAFELY with one hand is just about as handy as you can get. Would I take one of these back to Iraq with me, or use one to chop wood and open cans? No of course not. I wouldn’t use any pocket knife for those kinds of things. Wrong kind of tool for the job. For regular guy pocket knife stuff, absolutely.
Don't know if I would've paid full price (got on trade for popular Para 3) but this Autocrat is very nice piece. It hides everyday carry extremely well. Thanks for watching Jeremy
I carry a benchmade phaeton or and ultratech every single day. I’ve used them for all types of things, I’ve field dressed white tails, turkeys and rabbits. If you do bare minimum maintenance on them they’ll last for years and years.
This is a solid knife that is comfortable to use and hides wear well. I love my Ultratechs also Darrin, They're great knives. Thanks for watching Darren
They are very versatile and easy to use quickly from the pocket! The Single edge serrated versions can breakdown cardboard and other heavy media. Thanks for watching my friend
It’s nearly impossible for an OTF knife to fire while in pocket. When the blade is retracted (or out for that matter), there is no tension on the blade.
I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for a knife. I’d rather spend the money on a nice gun for the same price. They’re super cool and if they were $100 I’d buy one. I have a $35 CRKT that I’ve had for a few years, it’s fine.
The high end OTFs from Benchmade, Microtech, Heretic, And Gaurdian Tactical are not cheap! The secondary market price for a lot of the standard production blades shows the inflated cost. I'm not sure I'd pay new prices for most of these offerings. I've been lucky enough to trade for a good part of my OTF collection, Including this Autocrat. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend
I've never debated clones or counterfeit on my channel as it's a personal choice, Who am I to decide! But that's no Autocrat from DH Gate EsM! It may look the same, But no bueno. Thanks for watching
Still not a Microtech. You can try to make it look like one, but S30v is a far cry from M390. Plus, Microtechs warranty and customer service is second to none.
I'm not much of a Benchmade fan and this is my only OTF from them! That being said it's a quality auto that has never failed to fire over 2 years of use. I have many Microtech OTFs but that last statement can't be applied in their use. I've broken springs on Combat Troodon, Dirac Delta, And Ultratech! Even made a video of replacement for the Microtechs. The quality of the Microtechs is higher with close tolerances, But unfortunately that hurts longevity of the springs as dirt, Lint, And other foreign matter clogs up the action. Also the average Joe would never notice the difference between S30V and M390 in wear resistance! Thanks for watching

That's a good looking/functioning OTF my brother! 😲

Timbo is a good person and knows a lot more then me on knives, Hoping his channel does well. Thanks for the positive comments and for watching b80.
I love both my 3400's. Super nice knives. Wicked sharp!
This is still my main OTF user! I'm very impressed with the overall quality but most importantly, The reliability! Thanks for watching

The Autocrat has some awesome design elements and is just about perfect size OTF. The Reliability has also impressed me, Thanks for watching Pines!
If you still in the market for one,I'd be willing to do a trade for my O.D. green one. No need for more than one and I prefer my black one.
Just got the autocrat...your review told me what I needed to know....its reliable and edc....thanks brotha
Do you ever oil the switch?
@@gnarghhfps3239 Yes! I use a cotton swab to lightly oil the switch area retracted and opened, Then I use the dry end to soak most of the oil away.

A sprinkle of graphite works wonders on any OTF.

Cool they did the g10 scales. Great video 👍

Amazing knives that are more than fidget toys or strictly self defense! Thanks for watching
Great review! I’m looking at this blade, I have the Microtech ultratech OTF and it’s been amazing
This is a solid knife that is comfortable to use and hides wear well. I love my Ultratechs also Darrin, They're great knives. Thanks for watching Darren
I by this and its goood, but why in europa coast 500euro(530 dollars)?????
Not sure why the huge increase in price for our European knife brethren! Thanks for watching
Gorgeous !!!!!!
Thanks for watching LTC! I'm enjoying these blades more and more!
@@knifevideochannel4657 My son has one he let me carry it and its a nice OTF! Excellent quality!
Nice Otf! I never handled an OTF, but it looks like they are a good option for EDC. Greetings
They are very versatile and easy to use quickly from the pocket! The Single edge serrated versions can breakdown cardboard and other heavy media. Thanks for watching my friend
Great video! The Autocrat is probably my favorite Benchmade otf that I've handled, although I think I still prefer my Ultratech 😉. Cheers!
The overall quality of Microtech is higher, But I do love the G10 (both sides) on the Autocrat. Thanks for watching Icy!!
@@knifevideochannel4657 very true, the G-10 is super nice!
Love mine !
Such a good ergonomic design Joe, With a very reliable mechanism! Thanks for watching
@@knifevideochannel4657 thank you freind please keep up the good work subbed for life ha 👍
Thanks for positive comments Joe. Have a good weekend
nice..wish those were legal in CA ..LOL
Thanks for watching Sam!
Fortunately Doug Ritter (knife rights) is working on overturning these laws in States around the country, With some success.
Could the blade come out when it in your pocket?
I don't see any way the blade could "fire" open unless actually pushing on the switch in the pocket on purpose. Thanks for watching
It’s nearly impossible for an OTF knife to fire while in pocket. When the blade is retracted (or out for that matter), there is no tension on the blade.
OD green chief. Not coyote brown
Not according to specifics on Knife center, KSF, Cutlery Shoppe, Etc... Coyote Brown! But I'm color blind! Thanks for watching

They’re $500 now
I think $500 is MSRP! BHQ and other retainers show $425-$450 for this version. Still outrageous price 😔.
Thanks for watching
Looks OD green in the video.
Some sites say Tan and others OD green, I'm colorblind though. Thanks for watching AJ
Benchmade makes these in both FDE and OD
👍👍👏
Thanks for watching John
They sell those on dhgate for 50$
