It will take you approximately 2.5 hours a day to complete the Bible in 1 month. I pray it's a catalytic experience for you! www.crossway.org/articles/infographic-you-can-read-more-of-the-bible-than-you-think/#:~:text=It%20takes%20about%2010%20hours,Prophets%2C%20from%20Isaiah%20to%20Malachi.
Thank you for your top tip to audio listen and read the dense bits, I will definitely use this . I am ashamed to say it took me ten Years! Yes ten years!! the first time I read the Bible from cover to cover. I was reading a bible commentary along with it but no excuse. I do see now, it's a matter of sorting out our priority as you point out. Also, having your Bible with you at all times, I would add use the Bible in book form, as being seen out and about reading the Bible is good.
Thank you for this, Julie...imagine if you'd/we'd spent all our time here and never read it all! What a grace and mercy to be drawn into His heart. And, absolutely, I can't stand digital reading to be honest!
When the Lord saved me I read the Bible within a month too, it was like nothing I'd ever experienced before I just couldn't put it down. Now, I read it much slower and reflect much more on the content but still with the same amazement and joy. What I do now is to give myself a minimum amount of pages to read in a day, its only 3 pages I set myself but it always ends up being 10+ pages. When I've fully read the Bible for the year I then go between the new and old testament just picking books to read.
Thank you for this! It's a supernatural delight that is either nourished or stifled, eh. The gears between faster pace for volume and slower pace for reflection is massively important, as is the general commitment of time, as you say, for serious reading. N
@@NicholasPaulFranks When I take my time with the Bible I find myself contemplating on a verse sometimes for hours. Even after reading the Bible seven times I'm still discovering something new each time. I'm always saddened when I speak to Christians that have never read the Bible, everything we need is in those pages and we need to study it as often as possible.
Amen.@@Yechezkel777 Woe betide those "seeker sensitives" who are more worried about "Bible bashing" than they are trembling, like Ezra, before the Word of the LORD.
@@NicholasPaulFranks There's no fear of the Lord in the majority of Churches anymore. I heard a pastor in a Church not far from where I live tell his congregation of mostly elder people "you might read the Bible and you might even think you know what it means, but I went to college and I'm younger and understand it better" funny enough when he started at that Church the first things to vanish were the Bibles and then he tried to push his transgender rhetoric. What was really shocking though was only a handful of people left the Church, but this is what happens when you have a Biblically illiterate congregation.
Thank you Nicholas for your encouragement to dive in and get reading. Currently I am caring for my husband recuperating from surgery and watching my 14 month old grandson...I feel so consumed. Watching this I am taking as a challenge to read daily no matter how overwhelmed I am feeling. Your posts are always so encouraging, thank you! Blessings!❤🙏
Thank you for sharing...I completely understand. I'm praying that folk hear the call get to grips with the Bible whatever that looks like within the other pressures that they have. 🙏
@@NicholasPaulFranks You are so right! I have been far too guilty of pushing of my quiet time reading just to play catch up when the caring of loved ones settles. When in fact reading God's word should come first. So here I am at 5:30 am when the house is silent and I am about to start my day in the word. Your post was the reminder I needed.🙏❤️

Thanks for sharing from an experience. Experiences help to know something personally that otherwise you just wouldn't know

It's having the Word in our heart and by doing that is to meditate on the scriptures.
Absolutely, Lisa...amen to that!
