Free will and predestination are both taught in the bible... we have to accept that from this side of eternity... his ways our not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts. God is a mystery and yes i agree the bible is there to be clearly understood by those who have the spirit, but that does not mean we will understand it fully. I'll be honest, i was a christian who was very much against the lockdown, as not meeting with my brethren, and being cut off in the way we were was very harming, especially to my children. For me personally, I am still coming to terms with many things in my christian walk, but at the same time I believe the Lord is instilling truth and the foundations are being rebuilt. im not sure if this is right or wrong, but i havent felt more distant from most christians i know right now. God knows our hearts and he knows our beginning and end, and I (We) have to trust him as we walk by faith and not by sight that he who began a good work will finish it. Im tired of trying to work out God and understanding him even through scripture. There is only so much we can and what he has desired to show us. I try to live according to what i know from his word and that is it. There is so much nonsense and lies out there that the personal walk we know is so important i think is becoming so much more important than ever before. Im not saying we should stop going to church, but i believe we will as we walk more closely with him see more and more error in churches and i have no idea how i will handle this going forward. I love Gods people, but ive found that since lockdown there is this i dont know apparent attitude that discussion or having different opinions that we see in the world with the cancel culture is in the church just as much. If we can be turned so easily and wander, the family that is church where God has placed us is so important. I desire to be more with my church family but no one wants fellowship... im starting to realise that what i really want is only ever going to be realised with the Lord in heaven / on the new earth. No man is an island, but how does one handle wanting what you believe to be what God wants as revealed in his word and yet in life, seeing none of it materialise ??

Thank you for your open and honest comment, Steve. Very refreshing indeed. Three main thoughts in response: 1) If only more genuine believers were to feel/express what you are, we would be in a much healthier state. 2) The book I’ve just released answers some of these big questions you raise. Can I suggest this and please let me know if you’re interested but can’t afford the purchase: www.bodyzerobook.com/product/the-glorious-few-god-closed-church-bundle
      3) Psalm 73:17-20

No free will...did you not listen and understand? The Reformers and Puritans rediscovered these truths and brought them to the Churches attention in a renewed way centuries ago. Read the Westminster Confession Of Faith...the best summary of Christian doctrine that has been produced...blessings to all...

Amen my brother. If Jesus himself was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief how can we be otherwise? If Jesus could weep at the tomb of Lazarus how can we not weep for the world estranged from the one who created it in hope? You are a voice in the wilderness Paul. I pray for you both. God bless you both. Maranatha 🙏

I walked out oct 2019 with my husband. The church has been very destructive in my family. My husband just died. Yeah they don't love us. I knew God had turned the tables over also. Thank you you're the only confirmation of what o also experienced. I'll share

      Dear Terry,
      Thank you.
I pray that within the imperfection of anything you hear or see in our work and ministry that you will know the deep comfort of what it is to be in Christ Jesus and to know Him living within you by His Spirit. I am praying Ephesians 1:17 for you and your family now.
      Warm regards
      Nick

This was a lot to digest, but having you go through Romans step by step has made the command to "fear the Lord" much easier to understand. I still don't fully comprehend how it all works: for example, why do we pray for people's hearts to be softened in the hopes that they might turn to God and be saved when God already knows who He has elected/chosen? I know my question (and I have many more like it) will show that I'm at the start of my walk in Christ, but I hunger to understand the will of our Father so that I'm not deceived again and potentially pulled away from Him. Thanks Nick. God bless you and Mairi.

@@josierose8 Thank you for your time listening, Josie. I don’t know if it helps but the longer I walk with Jesus the more I find myself coming to fear Him….the fear that I know is not cringing or anxious but worshipful and looking eagerly to His coming.
The glory to come is incomprehensible.

Forgive me I am a bit dim but are you saying God shut the Church in the same way He set aside Israel?

@@chippe999 Nothing to forgive; it’s a jolting train of thought raising many questions, (which I’ve addressed in this new book: www.bodyzerobook.com/product/god-closed-church)
In essence, I make a case for ‘judgment to begin at the house of God’ involving the necessary requirement for the Church closing in March 2020. But this isn’t Him forsaking the Church; on the contrary.
The main point of this video though is the sobering biblical doctrine of election.

    Romans 6:16-18
Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
Scripture is clear that, just as God will save who he will save, he will most definitely be who he will be. A right relationship, a correct standing before Him requires his church to accept him as both its Savior and its Lord. He makes the rules, he sets the standard. In working out our salvation, in walking out the belief we have professed we must submit to our Lord just as we have accepted our Savior. He closed HIS church, not ours… and we’d best, we must understand why.
P.S. Thank you , Nick for bringing us the new book. I can hardly wait to receive the copy I just purchased!!
