- I Built LONDON Out Of LEGO!
I built London landmarks out of LEGO, AT the landmarks themselves, including Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the Tube, a Routemaster Bus, Doctor Who, The Beatles, Sherlock Holmes, William Shakespeare, Cruella, Peter Pan, The Olympics, and LOADS MORE!
the dedication is unmatched, love it 💂
You know it’s a good video, when UA-cam themselves comment on it.
yep

When the world needed him most, he returned.

Yessss
It’s been like a month or like two months since he posted a video where were you half asleep Chris
True😂
@@alexiswilkerson6180i think he was building this
The time, effort, work into this is just amazing.
Thanks!
@@HalfAsleepChrisCan’t wait for you to build Paris in the next series video!
@@HalfAsleepChris more cats please that is what i come here for so please cats
@@HalfAsleepChriswhy didn’t UA-cam give you the 10 million subscriber diamond early yet? Your so underrated and I been watching you since the Reggie videos as a guest account keep going!

"I suddenly felt very aware of something: I looked like a giant weirdo."
This one was so relatable.
Thanks for this vid, Chris. I was just in London myself this past couple of weeks, and wish I could've built some London LEGO there.
It was a lovely trip, and this video brings back all the good memories.
Half asleep Chris is the definition of worth the wait
YES,
No it is Brody animates
nope not worth it
@@CAWFEE69 yeah that too
@@nicholaswongweihsien4102 then you can leave then
What an amazing idea Chris! Cannot wait to see the other episodes.
Carrying all that LEGO around must have been hard though, props for the commitment!
Yeah, also first
No way! It's the real Tiago Catarino. Dude, I am such a big fan. Watch yours and Chris' videos every day. You are one of my favourite Lego UA-camrs of all time (after Chris, that is).
Thanks a lot!
@@HalfAsleepChris You actually replied!!!! Best day
Daamn Tiago is here!! 😲😲😲
I stumbled across your videos a few years back with the rollercoaster ones and I haven't left. I truly love the silly, quirky, "cheap" feel of the videos but know they are far from cheap and the work is involved is insane. It makes it look like any of us could make and it's incredible
0:27 this is actually one of the biggest reasons castle fans were upset when Lego got rid of the old grays - their yellowish undertone makes them look more like weathered stone masonry (ironically the new ones are called "stone gray").
Nice to hear Geoff Marshall helped out with this. What a guy.
I caught that in the Field Notes, too! I was hoping some of the transit tubers would pop up somewhere 😂
I'm pretty sure Geoff was the top hat/union jack man going into a tube station...which is incredibly fitting.
@@curiousfirely Yup, it is. I rechecked it upon seeing the notes at the end :).
I got really confused about having missed a cameo :).
As soon as I saw him I doubted and ran to the comments hahahaha
@@curiousfirelyuhh it don't really look like him
Respect for the confidence it took to build LEGO in public 😎
Can’t wait to see where you build next!
we already know where 🟦⬜🟥
Wow
Paris
it is today
That's simply amazing. I can't believe you built the bus on a bus; that's not a quick build! I've built most of those sets as well, but just on my dining room table.
Given you're heading to Paris...well, I won't spoil, but if you're doing what I imagine you're going to do...wow.
Thanks a lot! The bus on a bus was actually one of the easiest - I got to seat down on a comfy seat with a lap-tray - some of the more public / exposed ones like Buckingham Palace were a lot more difficult and fiddly. Still, great fun. Paris will be a good one... :)
What a fun video to watch! I can't imagine all the planning, work, time, and expense that went into making this.
I'm trying to picture Chris walking around, carrying a LEGO model, trying to avoid dropping it, staging the photos , arranging things with people, getting stared at, and… 1:55 oh, okay, that confirms it. 😂 People usually forget the behind-the-scenes effort.
4:20 the fact he actually let him on the bus🤣
Nice
Noice
The bus driver passed his lego check
YOU’RE BRINGING TRAVEL BACK INTO YOUR VIDEOS!!! THANK YOU! While I do adore and love the lego and cat content, missed your travel and currency videos a lot, and it’s great to see you do more travel related videos again!
I doubt that the currency videos will make a similar come back, but maaaaaybe a short fun fact or two in future videos? I’ll just keep my fingers crossed for that.
Cant wait to see where this series goes! Thank you again for the lovely content Chris
Hey thanks! I plan on eventually making a separate channel for the currency videos. Unfortunately they just wouldn't work here anymore, but I'm trying my best to bring travel back :)
@@HalfAsleepChris I am very very happy to hear that :))) Of course most importantly, don’t overwork yourself, and keep bright eyed and healthy. I wish your channel all the best my dude.
@@HalfAsleepChris hi i love your videos
i love big ben😍
That was pretty cool and utterly nerdy 😂 I love the idea of making these at the real locations. Can't wait for the Paris episode... I'm a little bit in love with this city and so excited to see it again!
I live in Paris so I am super excited to see that too!
@@solar3068 omg imagine you see him filming that…
@@KittyCatGirl-br9sx that would be so cool! I’ll keep an eye out for it
You've done an impress job, Chris. Keep working hard to attain your goals.
I'm not impressed, hes just him
Just a little bit ago I was literally hoping you would make new vid
I'll use this as a tour guide whenever I'll visit London, thank you very much
I love this video! Id love to know if you dismantled your builds after you had built them before returning them home? (I know from the field notes you did not create the whole video within 1 sitting, but had originally been mind blown that you may have carted all those boxes around London!)
It’s so wonderful to see when Chris builds something with a real police officer, bus driver or Union Jack-suited man. It really adds to the sense of small-town community in this video about such a big city.
Chris never disappoints us from the music to the content, keep it up we all need your content
Wow almost 100, thanks so much guys I appreciate it
I just got back from a trip to London, and it's so cool to see places I've been.
About colors of Tower bridge, Maybe they wanted to do it the way it looked when it was built, what I know a lot of the old London buildings originally had slightly different shades of facade but the years of weather and air pollution (mostly from cars) changed their colour
3:59 Geoff Marshall causally wears the same outfit as the Lego minifgure made me laugh so much. Nice cameo.
Geoff!
Jeez-
Ur first
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉your first!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your London video is so amazing! 🏴🇬🇧
The Lego clicks are so satisfying
6:11 Imagine if he somehow lost his grip and the lego set just fell into the water.
That's what I was thinking - hundreds of pounds wasted
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE

It’s always a good day when Chris posts!

The Lego policeman alongside the real policeman was great. Glad you found someone good-natured and willing to play along!
Man the anxiety I got when the lego sets were placed on the ledge of the bridges/roads was unreal! 😅 😂
Pun not intended *

I love his personality and the way he includes the songs like "Build in the bag" and "Does it come with a lego frog" Those parts are my favorite, and the dedication he has to get these lego sets done!
Love the fact that you did London first. BTW I also own several of these sets like the bus and Big Ben.
This man is about to build the entire universe out of Lego
What? No build in the bag? 😂 Seriously, well done Chris! Great builds as usual. And there were FROGS!🐸
The work here is phenomenal👌😎
The way Half-Asleep Chris’ videos are edited is always very satisfying.
7:21 Finding the number 432 is WAY easier than finding those bronze, silver and gold objects in previous videos.
I don’t care how bad my day was, watching even a second of Chris’s videos make me happy
I look forward to more episodes of this series! Such a cool, interesting and creative concept! Never seen anything quite like it
Ah so this is why my kids are singing "building a bus on the bus" over and over this morning! Great episode, looking forward to Paris!
I love it! Hope it's not annoying you too much!
4:48 Matilda poster in the background😊
Half asleep Chris is the goat of UA-cam
The true goat
I remember doing the large Big Ben Lego set with my grandpa, it took us a few weeks to build but it looked awsome, and we where very proud of it. It is a memory I will always cherish.
Gotta say, you are one of the most entertaining creators on this platform. Can’t wait to see more of this series!
Nice line up when you finished building
This was funny 5:14 I laughed out loud 😂😂
i used to watch every video of this channel a few years ago. However, times changed, and i started getting lesser and lesser time. But, I decided to check out this video again for the sake of old times. And i can say that this channel is just as remarkable as it was when i left it. I will watch every video again.
Thanks Chris!
Chris, I’ve loved all your videos!!! Hope you come back to Hong Kong!!! Love from hk!!!
I can only imagine that you planned the whole trip with a detailed spreadsheet :D
It was incredibly hard to plan!
@@HalfAsleepChris all those retired sets must have costed a fortune, respect for doing it for the video
I'm proud of my lego collection. You manage to put it to shame. This is awesome!

Chris, you are a gem. ❤
Blud literally asked a random police men to hold a British Lego police men🤣
The fear and anxiety I felt as the Lego sets were placed along the bridge edge lol. It must have taken a lot of courage to put the Big Ben set on that ledge, your much braver than me haha
Glad your back Chris!
Another one of your impeccable videos!
Aw, the policeman looks so happy to be included.
WOW this video is amazing I'm 2:30 in and I'm on the edge of my seat wanting more, the production value is insane, this is an amazing concept, and you have executed it perfectly. SO looking forward to more.
Omg i have been in that room 6:24 room number 523!!!
Where is absolutely insane
An amazing daily fact
I got a free tour of London just before I do go.
It must have been a huge effort to build at the actual places/landmarks. Great job!
2:49 Chris is the only person who could use the word plethora in a casual conversation and no one questions him
This man is the king of lego youtube if you disagree the wraph of Ralph and Bella will smite you

I DO NOT WANT TO DIE TODAY
0:19 that was terrifying
wow i love this video so much!!! everything from the stop motion, the sound effects, the lego builds, your voiceover, the funny songs and the multiple gags and ways you got real life people to join in it ALL put a smile on my face and I felt instantly comfortable & happy in this darling, wonderful video you worked so hard to make. I’ve been looking forward to this video for ages, your Dad has been telling me over the past couple of months about the planning and effort involved in making it…and the cost of that hotel room! Well done Chris, another great video in your collection.
Wait, how do you know Chris’s dad?
It's a fantastic video and always a great treat to see you've released a new video.
Great work Chris! 😊
I love how you match up the sounds in your videos with the music. It really shows how much you pay attention to details!
The fact he risked putting them on edges unnerved me XD
This man is about to become best LEGO UA-camr
I came for the cats, but stayed for Chris’ fun projects. Stay creative ☺️
In London for vacation right now so seeing this is super awesome! I was standing in some of the exact same spots as Chris in this video, unreal.
I love London, the beautiful building, and all of it's nice areas.
My daughter just sent me a link to this because our five year old grandchild thought we would like it because we are going to the UK.
This made my day. Good luck with videos to come.
7:01 If this were me it would be falling right into the thames
Exactly
Can we respect Chris for going to these places and building the lego sets lol
And getting strange looks
I am so happy you made this video. Because I am from the United States of America, I have learned so many new places in London. Big Ben is my newest favorite. Thank you so much!!!!!!😀😀
I hope everyone can really appreciate all the detail Chris puts in, right down to creating catchy tunes that GET STUCK IN MY HEAD!!!
That’s amazing. I always love watching your Lego builds.
You know its a good day when half asleep Chris uploads
Ye
100% true
the fact that most the people who showed up when he was building the bus or the lego police man who went along with it perfectly was so cool
Now I want to see Half-Asleep Chris building Lego Football Stadiums
7:27 "Field Notes:
Filmed over 13 (non-consecutive) days in late Spring 2023
There are 2,108 individual frames of stop-motion animation
Thanks to Danielle, my Dad, my Mum and Geoff Marshall for helping me film & carry these LEGO sets all over London!
The stop-motion building of Trafalgar Square at 0:58 is fake, sort of. My original real take was unusable, but when I returned to refilm it, there was a huge stage set up in the square. Instead, I filmed it in my garden to match the outdoor lighting, and superimposed it on top of a timelapse I had
My custom Tube train is based on the Victoria Line's 2009 stock. It's exceptionally fragile and can't actually turn corners due to the carriages being too long"

You are so good at these and amazing at video editing!
Much love from Lauderdale, Minnesota!❤🇺🇸
This guy should win an Oscar for his perseverance
The building a bud on a bus song is my favourite bit, you have quite a talent for making catchy short songs. I hope to see more episodes of this series.
the amount of effort that goes into these videos is amazing and cant wait for the paris episode. i hope it comes with a lego frog! 🐸
I think 4:27 is my favourite part
