Between his humour, LEGO obsession, love for cats, incredible content and British accent... Chris you are unmatched Edit: OMG CHRIS REPLIED TO MY COMMENT! MOM I'M FAMOUS
Italian themed sets that I would love to see in Lego... 1. Three Mini Coopers driving through a shopping centre. 2. Two British cavemen being taken to an auction house ran by Markius and Spencus. 3. A British spy driving a gondola/hovercraft driving through Venice while being watched by a double taking pigeon.
Ok I get the first one- Italian Job obviously (the og not the remake aka the best one) and I get the third- Roger Moore Bond, think it was Moonraker wasn’t it because I re her it had Jaws in it and it definitely wasn’t TSWLM. But what’s the other one referring too?
I am so jealous that you get to do this Chris, flying around to different countries and building Lego sets of the most iconic landmarks in the world, that being said, I don't know if my social anxiety would let me build Lego sets in public. I'd definitely have to either build a micro set or "Build in the Bag". This video was so satisfying to watch, and I can't begin to imagine how much work each montage takes. Absolutely incredible work Chris.
Thanks a lot! The bigger ones I usually build in hotels with views, but then do get lots of weird looks and people stopping to talk when I film them at the landmarks. I do it at 6 or 7 am to minimised this :)
The excitement when a new video is released before my sons bedtime, we lay in bed and watch it together. It’s a huge part of Dad and son bonding time for us. Thanks again for an amazing video and keeping us constantly entertained. Hats off to you!
Finally, I found someone as goofy, british and lego obsessed as me. This guy is quite literally my favourite youtuber right now. Keep up the amazing work my mans
I have to agree with you that the Colosseum is an extraordinarily tedious build. Unfortunately, I think the Eiffel Tower is a close second. I can't believe the lengths you must have gone to getting those sets. The Venetian Houses are a limited-edition Bricklink set! Now that you've done London, Paris, and Rome, the next obvious location with a lot of sets is New York. Let me know if you need any of the older NYC landmarks; I've got a good collection.
I do wonder when you do take pictures of the lego sets next to the place, do you ever get compliments from people who walk past by saying how great it is how the effort you put into it? You should really get compliments if you ask me cause your work and dedication to these Lego sets are extraordinary 😁
Haha yes, especially the big ones. If I'm there filming for half and hour, usually 10 different people will come and ask what I'm doing and have a chat, everyone has been really friendly!
Half asleep Chris is the greatest youtuber of all time. He creates simply the greatest content of all time and seems to really enjoy it while also cramming laughs, flawless attention to detail and his personality into every frame and really does not disappoint with any upload.
Where's the next place you're going to build? I'm loving this series! My personal suggestions: Germany (featuring the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Zepplin), Denmark (where LEGOS came from! Is there anything more fitting?), or Romania (the birthplace of Dracula and home to Vlad the Impaler).

8:14 “FIELD NOTES: Venice was filmed separately in April, and actually the very first thing I filmed for the travel series as a whole. Pisa & Rome were filmed in mid-late July, during the ‘Settimana Infernale’ heatwave. It was exceptionally hot. With London and Paris, I made multiple trips to each city, enabling me to edit at home and then refilm any gaps or additional things that came up. I really struggled by only having one trip to Rome however, and therefore had to cheat, and green-screen a few minor things: - The opening shot of my hand holding the box, and the 4 boxes after the theme song. - The shot of Michelangelo, as the minifigure didn’t arrive in time. - The shot of me dressed as a Roman commander. In previous videos, I’ve had UA-camr friends dress up for the cameos, but since I don’t know anyone in Italy, planned on paying a street performer to do it. On trips to Rome in 2019 and earlier, there were countless people dressed lip as gladiators / soldiers / commanders, charging tourists for photos, but this time there were none whatsoever. It turns out they’ve been canned, so I had to film the cameo myself, sadly back at home using a green-screen. The Fiat was rented from ‘Rome for You’ and the Vespa tour by ‘Vespa Tour in Rome’. My Dad always loved little Fiats and owned many. Apparently during the 1960s Italian fuel costs were some of the highest in Europe, so Fiat always made very small cars with little engines which were very cheap to run and had excellent fuel economy. He has owned a 500 like the one in this video so I sent him the video; he will love it. He tells me a story often about how in the 1980s his Fiat 500 would often snap clutch cables so he would always keep a spare one in the boot and was a whiz at replacing them in about 10 minutes LOL. 😁
