I would sneak up to our family computer in the middle of the night and put music on it. I still have the damn thing - 15 years later. Thanks dad.

sammee i had the iPod touch 6th generation in pink, with only 16gb of storage. i got it for my 16th birthday back in 2017. it could hardly store any apps without me having to delete something to make room for something else, but it was my very first smart device, and my very first apple device too, so i wasn’t complaining. i finally felt like one of the cool kids at my Highschool lol
It was an awesome product. I remember my mother. It was one thing she bought for herself. I was just in highschool back then. She'd let me bring it to school. I remember playing the old school RPGs.
When I was in high school I would fix the 2nd and 3rd generation ones and would often rip the volume control cables. Then when I fix it came out it was much easier to get parts and have guides

I get why Apple stopped making iPods, because the latest ones where basically just iPhones that couldn’t call, you could still send iMessages, still use FaceTime, and everything else the same as iPhone, the only reason to get an iPod was if there was a specific need to make sure calls couldn’t be placed.

Unfortunately I left it on my roof one day and by the time I realized and went to look for it, it had been run over a few times. Rip. I later bought a 5th gen touch from a pawn shop for $70 when I was considering switching to iPhone, back when the first se came out. I hadn’t played with iOS for a while and got my se shortly after.

Still have a 4GB mini from that year and holds about 20 minutes of play time. That click wheel is still a fun interface.
Mine’s a 4gb one and the housing is in terrible condition and the screen has been bent with a swollen battery.

I remember getting an iPod when I was 4, that’s where my love for music grew, I’m just 15 even now but ***nostalgia****, it was truly a core memory fragment. Hope apple releases a new gen one!
