I am also a first gen homeschooler and I think it’s important to teach my daughters to get up in the morning and prepare themselves for the day (make their beds, comb their hair, GET dressed). I think this is a good skill for children. If they slump around in their pjs all day, their motivation isn’t there, they don’t focus as well, etc… Also, THANK YOU for continuing your channel even though you are contributing to M2homeschool. So many other channels have gone radio silent. Please keep giving us relatable content, your journey, and your wisdom . ❤
There is definitely truth to this! I see it in myself as well. I just feel better when I’m up and dressed. Yw! My prayer is to be available to as many people as possible. I love both spaces for different reasons and plan to remain in both. Thank you for being here. ❤️
I'm a first generation homeschooler as well. I agree with every single point 😊. I'm introverted all the way, and it has been soo hard to push myself into social functions for the benefit of my kids. In some ways it's good though, because it's easy to get pushed into everything if we don't remember our own goals and boundaries.
I totally relate to the alone time and boundaries. I use to feel so guilty for wanting time to myself throughout the day. I would stop whatever I was doing, and tend to my children’s every need. As I gained more experience as a mom and a teacher, I realized that I didn’t need to do that. Feeling guilty was normal, and the children will be okay 😂 thank you for sharing! 💗
