Should hook the raise line carabiner to the bottom round eye. Then run back to top through one of the pulleys hooked to lift bar. That way it’s easier to pull up the motor using the pulley system. That’s what the pulley they send you is for
FInally someone built a quality kayak specific trolling motor. Looks awesome. I went to the website and was watching the NS130 inflatable promo video and it sure looks like you in their video kissing a tarpon. I wish these were out a few years ago when I built a Saturn SK396 Kaboat build that is very much along the same lines as the NS130.
Yes I got some videos of me fishing the ns130 coming out in next few weeks and the nk180 pro is so easy to use and convenient I can steer with the factory rudder I love it
Nice video Ive just purchased one from Amazon Uk but never had the pigtail which you really need.Cant get them in Uk no dealers you think it would have come as standard for the price you pay. thanks for sharing.
Great job on the video! Also, you did a great job just using one hand. 🙂 I have a PA14, so I'll be taking your advice for the setup, very nicely done! I am buying one of the two NewPort motors, NK180 Pro or the NK300. If NewPort didn't send you a free one, which one would have put on your Hobie, and why? Thanks! Oh, I'm a new sub. Looking forward to seeing your other videos!
I would say I would put the nk300 on the PA14 just for that extra thrust since it’s a heavier kayak than the Outback! If you want to save some money at checkout I have the code “ETHAN409” for a discount for you! I’ll link it here! newportvessels.rfrl.co/ww5xp
Great video. Where do you purchase the long wire you attached to your battery. I ordered a 24V 5O ah battery from Newport and it didn't come with that or a charger.
Did you have any problems steering using the outback rudder and locking the motor straight? I tried that and it didn't work unless i slowed down the speed significantly. The motor in the back acts as a rudder itself by propelling forward and your rudder that's turning is actually competing with the motor and loses out.

I want to tell you that your video is the most detail and easiest to follow for this process. Thanks man!
Glad it helped brother! 🤜🏻
Thank you friend, it was a good instructional video and will make things easier when I purchase one.
Glad it could help! Got some discount codes in description for you to save money as well!

These codes and links are also in the description of the video! I hope all this helps man!
I heard you need to use smaller screws for the sensor mount, it may cause sensor issues with the magnetic sensor
I haven’t had any issues with it thus far but I appreciate the tip!
Been waiting for a video let's go fish await!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got some awesome stuff coming soon! Headed back to FL this next week too!

They come separate. If you go to the website and look at battery accessories you can see all the options you can add with it! Hope this helps!
Did you install the 50A breaker after ?

I don’t have any issues really I only go full 100% when I’m just going straight it does fine!
By the way, the NK 180pro is only 1.8 HP
Thanks man! I’m not the brightest but hope this video helped!
