What a beautiful slice of Heaven you found there! My favorite part is the time and effort you put into researching what you find out there in the Real.
Great video on such an amazing place! These prairie dogs are so funny. Made me think of other keystone species like beavers or passenger pigeons. Nicely done
The moment I saw your Google Earth picture I knew that was a prairie dog village. I live in New Mexico and have seen many of those. It is so much fun to just sit and watch the prairie dogs. They never stop, and like meerkats, always have their guard looking tor those eagles and hawks. What a beautiful place to visit.
They do look like so much fun to watch, so funny and so smart. Apparently they can communicate with each other about the exact threat they are seeing, the size, the distance, maybe even the color!
Just a beautiful find, the prairie dog was just added to the endangered species list, so seeing the amount of prairie dogs in your video, gives me hope for their future in bouncing back to normal population sizes. Thanks for sharing.
Prairie dogs can be fun to watch, but ask any farmer, rancher how they like them. The answer is, THEY DON'T! They ruin the landscape with their digging and the holes can break the legs of animals--horses. Not a pretty scene. Once started, they take over and spread like wildfire. They also spread plague. Yuk!!
Prairie dogs were my fave. Funny and fast! I didn’t realize so many other animals depended on them. Thanks for the info and beautiful scenery!
Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, sounds like there are preservation efforts currently.
@@ruinsandridges yes , I hope there is. Be safe out there, especially for venomous snakes.

I never imagined such beautiful meadows existed in the southwest! Thanks for taking us there ....and those very cute prairie dogs!!
Thank you! Yes, amazing how varied it can be from deserts, to mountains, to grasslands.
"GET DOWN" ... Your so amazing for only being 13. Keep it up Dude.
Thanks!
We had some off the golf course in Flagstaff. They were safely trapped and relocated as they were also next to a busy road and freeway.
Yes, we see them in Flagstaff too, even by some restaurants!!
🥰
I seen those mushrooms in Idaho and deer had taken bites from them
Boletes are good edibles, and some russulas can be too, animals love them all
In other words, they make a good snack.
The prairie dogs or the mushrooms? Native peoples ate prairie dogs.

Yes, I am sure, not easy to cohabitate with them when you have crops and animals, we have experienced many gopher issues.
