That area gets heavy pressure almost daily! The river, or other side is nice but you have to walk forever to get a kayak in there.
It does get a lot of pressure. I think the closest place to launch a kayak us the bridge overpass
Where can I park my car to get here ??
There are 3 parking lots. A paved one with a sign and two dirt at the trail heads on either side of the road a little further up.
Smithfield, not North Smithfield.
