Great signing by the Astros although it will hurt them defensively with Perades not exactly great defensively and the Astros have a very ground ball heavy pitching staff. all they need now is 1 outfield bat. Santander or a Profar an they could be set going into this coming season
Paredes is better than most, can hit (.250, 25+HR, think Crawford Boxes), and an excellent interim until our next 3B prospect hits. Cam Smith will be interesting to watch, this season in Sugarland.
San Diego and Seattle actually have above-average park factors for home runs. Combine this with the green monster turning many would-be dingers into singles/doubles and this makes perfect sense
My astros now need to trade framber. We ain't going to sign him we already got pitchers. We can get a similar deal like we got for tucker a corner outfielder and a prospect or two. Everyone says tucker and bregman leaving is bad. As astros fan im not sad. This team really needed a shake up because this line up has not been performing the last few years. Bregman gets on my nerves because for about the first 2 months of every year he plays like garbage. Huge slump can't hit anything
Why would we trade a cy young level pitcher right now? If we’re bad at the trade deadline we can easily move him for quite a bit knowing how expensive quality pitching is at the deadline. Or we do have the ability to sign him next offseason since 40 million $ is coming off the books. Why would we let him go now if we want to compete?
@TheSavageLoool because he has more value in the off season because teams will get a full year of him. If u wait till the dead line his value goes down because teams would be trading for a 2 month rental

Teams value pitching more than position players, especially elite level pitching like framber(which is why we’re keeping him for now and traded tucker). His value might drop some being a rental but it should still bring us a pretty big haul back, probably more than what we got for tucker
I think Bellinger will go to first we will get someone like Bregman or Tprres something like that. I don't like the idea of Santana or Goldschmidt because Santana is old and I don't trust any old guy on the Yankees meaning DJ and guys who don't do anything. Goldschmidt maybe but I am not too interested would like a Santander or something like that

Baseball Savant projected Arenado at 12 HR in Boston. But 14 HR in Seattle and 17 HR in SD? Yeah, I can't take that seriously.
