May I ask, if you'd never tried the Romaleos before, would the Savaleos still be a significant upgrade for squatting vs the MetCon or Nano? I do mainly powerlifting, using MetCons with the inserted heel, and can lift 2.3 bodyweight, so looking at show for marginal gains. But Romaleos seems very expensive for a hobbyist lifter like me!
Having just watched your excellent video, I've decided to go for the Romaleos for my weightlifting sessions and the Free Metcon 5 for my cardio days. Your video provided precisely the information I needed. Looking forward to more great content from you!
Enfin une vidéo du genre je me posais la question en voyant des power utiliser des Savaleos maintenant je sais que par rapport à ma pratique et à ce que je recherche que j’ai fait le bon choix en prenant les Romaleos 😏
This review was super helpful, was torn between the two for weightlifting and powerlifting, and think I'll go for the Romaleos. Will report back in a month and see what I make of them. Thanks so much!
Great comparison video. I want with the romaleos 4, was considering the Savaleos but I'm not a cross fitter and needed something more sturdier. Thanks for the video.
Not really sure why everyone always wants to compare these shoes. The Romaleos are a more serious lifting shoe and yes built better and the Savaleos are just meant to be a more budget friendly shoe. Built well in my opinion but aren't Romaleo quality but still a good shoe
Do you think savaleos is proper for not only squat but also ohp and conventional deadlift? Im considering savaleos for overall WL shoe, but Im bit worried about offset even if its lower than other WL shoes.

I'm little of a beginner, I've been using converse for flat sole so far. I never considered the metcons, how are they for squats do they have similar angle for feet while doing squats. Also are the Nike Romaleos 4 ideals to do other leg exercises such as incline leg press, hack squat, maybe lunges? and calves raises too ahahah Sorry for lot of questions :p
Yeah they could be good. But they're not a very flexible shoe. I would go with a metcon 7 because they offer a bit more flex I felt. Check out the Metcon 7 video I made recently.
Hey mate! First of all, thanks for this cool video. What I'm wondering is, I'm training with metcon6. I just want to buy another shoe for moves like squat snatc, overhead sq etc. Is savaleos enough for this or is there a noticeable performance difference with romaleos? I couldn't quite understand it in the video. If you give answer i ll be happy.. thank you 🤙🏽
Roms are more heavy and sturdy. I would go for Savaleos as they are lighter and more flexible but they're not as flexible as the Metcons are. I would personally go for the savs for the moves you mentioned but it's up to you.
I wouldn't recommend Savaleos or Romaleos for deadlifts, not at all. Personally, whenever deadlifts are involved I go for flat shoes. But for all the other moves your basic Metcons would be fine.
They are literally designed for those movements! At the recent Weightlifting world championships, quite a few of the best lifters in world were wearing them
Interesting. I considered them but I read about durability not being great. Do let me know how they work out for you though. I may review them as well soon. Thanks for watching too!
Bro I was looking for a new shoes and than I saw this one. I have nothing to do with the gym. Am I stupit if I want to buy one pair just to wear it after work?
Which one are you going for, Savaleos or Romaleos?
I am an experienced skipping rope, but in between I do my (CrossFit) fitness exercises. Would you recommend the Savaleos to me?

Awesome. Look forward to hearing how you get on bro!
We didn’t get a report back bro!
How do you like them?
So how’s it go??
Screw this guy
Them Romaleos don’t budge when you squat, just ordered a pair 👊 good videos, subscribed
Great comparison video. I want with the romaleos 4, was considering the Savaleos but I'm not a cross fitter and needed something more sturdier. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
I'm glad I saw this videos. Otherwise I would have bought the romaleos and found out they're too sturdy for other exercises. I'll go with savaleos

This helped me go for the Romaleos. I loved the heaviness of my Adipower 2. Wanted to try something else this time.
The Savaleos seem like a cross between a Romaleo and Metcon
Do you think savaleos is proper for not only squat but also ohp and conventional deadlift? Im considering savaleos for overall WL shoe, but Im bit worried about offset even if its lower than other WL shoes.
Yeah I think the Savs are ok for those moves. It's designed to be more of an all rounder than the Roms are.
Which would you recommend for Olympic weightlifting if you don’t mind me asking?
Romaleos

if all you're doing is squatting, then yeah, I would def go for Savaleos over the Metcon 7s. 👍🏾
Great video thanks for the comparison!!🔥
Thanks for watching!

The Converse are a good lifting shoe already. I would go for Savs over metcons for a leg workout only shoe. Roms are best for squats
@@ListedFit thanks for the advise. I might go for sav since they are cheaper plus could do other exercises.
Simple tip: just looking what top athletes wearing on the Olympic stage, no one wearing S but a lot wear R. So if you’re weightlifter, just go for R
Between Saveleos and Adipower 2
Which one is better?
Which would be better to pair with metcons?
I currently have Metcon 7 and an old Rebook lifter.
I’m upgrading to Metcon9. Do you think the R or the S?

Thanks man, really appreciate your great comparison!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
how can I buy , which website and what the price .....
You should see them on this page sovrn.co/g99q8xu
Super Helpful Review 👌🏽
Thank you
I just need an elevated heel shoe to improve ankle mobility during squat, are the savaleos as good as the others in this regard
Roms have a slightly higher elevation than the Savs but the difference is only like 5mm if im not mistaken.
great video thx

Heyyy how do the sizing compare to each other?
I found both to be true to size. Comfortable.
where did u get your romaleos?
I bought mine here: bit.ly/3yzoWmD. They might be a limited edition colourway though. I bought them pretty early.
@@ListedFit thank you. your's are so sick!
Are romaleos good for power movements as well, like snatches and cleans?. Please anyone
I would say go for the Savaleos. Much more flexibility. Also the Metcons 7 are worth considering too.
They are literally designed for those movements!
At the recent Weightlifting world championships, quite a few of the best lifters in world were wearing them
Do the Romaleos 4 have a higher sole for squats?
Correct. Squats feel way smoother for me. Annoyed I didn't find them sooner.
@@ListedFit went with the Reebok Legacy Lifter II after all, couple of people compared them and said it had better comfort and less heel slip.
Interesting. I considered them but I read about durability not being great. Do let me know how they work out for you though. I may review them as well soon.
Thanks for watching too!
The Romaleos are so damn expensive.
They're pricier BUT they have a better build quality and if you're only doing squats in them they're going to last you a long time.
Really? I got mine for £105
@@getstrongby4038 where?
Bro I was looking for a new shoes and than I saw this one. I have nothing to do with the gym. Am I stupit if I want to buy one pair just to wear it after work?
yes lmao
I bought a pair! Used for 6 months there NOT GOOD SQUAT SHOES!! very NARROW FOOT SPACE!!
I’m guessing you’re talking about the romolos. I read many reviews that mentioned they were narrow
Cual es la diferencia en español? XD
Romaleos 3-4 are garbage.
Shit.. should have watched before buying
