Thanks for making these and other wonderful videos. It's great to see the African countries through the eyes of an African content creator. I have learnt so much more of the local culture through people like you and Go Ebaide! It's much needed at a time where the world's view of Africa is skewed through a white lens. Much love from an Indian on the internet!
at 9:00 in the video, his words made me really think of Gambians ,we think and believe government will come to safe us or put food in our mouths, when they hardly care about us .Gambians will complain all day everyday without thinking of starting something for themselves, the Senegalese hustle mindset is evident here in the Gambia, how many of them came here with little or nothing and made it BIG?!?! The Senegalese diaspora will always import ideas techniques infrastructure food clothing education technology etc etc etc to Senegal from their host countries, this is why Senegal keeps advancing and improving. We have so much we can learn and emulate from Senegal and the Senegalese people.
I'm Nigerian and i can't wait to visit and explore more African countries with my family in the future insha'Allah. So far I've only been to Ghana and Benin Republic and I absolutely loved it. Would love to visit Senegal,The Gambia, Morocco,Egypt and many more. May God make it possible 🤲🏽 Life is to be lived. One love to our beautiful continent 🫶🏾✨💫✨🫶🏾
I love what you do not because you show senegal in a different light but I love the research you put in your work and the editing efforts you put in your videos. Thank you
I love senegal and Gambia! Colonialism have divided both nations in the first place but they are both vibrant nations with beautiful people. One day if love to go to Dakar so this would be useful. Love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹❤🇬🇲🇸🇳
My first trip to Senegal was an office training trip. We were supposed to go to the UK, but the company settled on Senegal and we were all very angry about having to go to a third world country. However, we ended up extending our initial 2 week trip by another week as we enjoyed ourselves so much. Great food, Great people, Great cultures and an atmosphere of peace and tolerance. Sometimes great disappointments can lead to great discoveries
If you are a white Westerner: Your hatred of exploited “third world” countries doesn’t make your appreciation of Senegal hide the fact that you are a disgusting colonialist. If you’re not a white Westerner: I hope you soon learn the lesson that kissing the white man’s feet will not bring you higher up on the ladder, it will only affirm you status as being lower than him, which is why you have to kiss his feet in the first place
I love your videos. So good to get a more nuanced prospective of West Africa than the prejudice that we have here in Europe. Much love from the Netherlands.
Thank you Gano for making these informative and educational videos. As an African American, you are helping to educate us about the beauty and genius of Africa. Keep smashing the negative stereotypes about the continent! ❤ The quality of your videos is superb. The combination of the music, the sights, and your voice are a great combination. Keep up the great work!
I can't image why more people don't subscribe to your channel. I LOVE your channel! Why? Everywhere you go, you show us the good things about the country -- the people, the art and music, the food -- all things that I think anyone would want to know about. You've convinced me that if I ever can leave the US for foreign travel, it's Africa I want to visit!
I'm Guinean 🇬🇳 and I love to watch your videos traveling several countries across Africa. It's really inspiring and amusing to watch. Much love from New York 🤍✨
It was kinda sad to hear you say at the beginning that you stopped seeing Sénégal as your homeland or the senegambia but as the video went on, i grew to understand your perspective. It’s not that you gave up on the Senegambia but rather acknowledging the current context, it’s not a given yet and there is a lot of Work left to be done in order to make Senegambia a reality for everyone. And I’m glad that mindset allowed you to enjoy more your stay in Sénégal. Even though I understand your perspective, I don’t really share it. I still see Senegambia as a whole. Not a perfect one yes, but a working progress still… I only got love for my Gambian Brothers & sisters including you ❤
Thank you! Your videos always inspire me to go back to Africa and work toward creating something truly special and impactful. Building a lasting legacy.
Thank you, Gano, for creating such an inspiring video! It’s truly fantastic. Keep up the amazing work you’re doing. Your videos are both educational and uplifting!
Great video showcasing Senegal! While Carol was able to go on holiday and stay when he decided to, our youth are risking their lives at sea trying to reach Carol's homeland. I can't wait to see the day when fair and reciprocal movement and migration laws become a reality.

Being mad to go to a third world country is really crazy like why even say that as if you’re any better

Senegal has always had a rich culture and history, not because it was part of the Ghana and Mali empires.
