THIS IS WHY I LOVE CUSTOMER WRAPPED ROLLS! COIN ROLL HUNTING PENNIES, DIMES, NICKELS, AND QUARTERS

- In this episode of Coin Shortage Hunting, we are coin roll hunting 10 rolls each of pennies, nickels, quarters, and dimes to see if we can find any rare or valuable coins! Most of these coin rolls have been hand wrapped by customers, and when you trust customers to wrap their own rolls, you sometimes end up with some interesting results...like an entire penny roll filled with dimes! That, plus many other oddities found their way into this week's hunt, so stick around to see what we find!

Hey everyone, it's good to be back! Here is an article about the Coin Shortage 2.0 in case you are interested in learning more about it (from August 2021): www.fastcompany.com/90661404/why-is-the-coin-shortage-back-heres-what-you-can-do-to-get-real-change-into-circulation-again
I know that it is frustrating not being able to order boxes (or even rolls in some cases) due to this coin shortage, but hopefully if you are missing out on coin roll hunting yourself, this video will give you your fix for now :D Happy hunting!
Hi Quinn I am a coin collector myself and I stumbled upon a 1956 Denver mint penny but it’s not a normal penny it’s actually steel and I’ve been searching and searching and you’re the only person that I thought to ask about what this is so I thought that you might have an answer for me
Are they worth any thing
I've got a 1964 quarter is fabulous shape you can still see good details of the lines in his hair. . .only one left out of all the bastards who robbed me at least left that
Why dont the banks spot these ?
Quin, dont you know about the great American coin hunt.Has been going on for several years.Collectors. put desirable coins in circulation to help interest more young people in coin collecting.I have put alot of early Jefferson, and buffalo nickels back in circ. for just that reason.
Yep, I remember when that started! I forgot about it for a while there. Do you think that's how these dimes ended up in a penny roll?
@@QuinsCoins I think it was in reference to your dialog at 16:30 about buffalo nickels being put back into circulation.
@@QuinsCoinsummm no
Got hooked on your videos and ordered your placemats. Have my grandfather's collection to hunt through..... Thanks for your enthusiasm!
It's always fun finding different denominations in penny rolls
here is something that you should keep an eye out an 2021 P Nickel with a die crack, I do also coin hunting, and I have found a dozen of them
I'm glad you are making quality videos again. Would love to see one with Kevin in the future as well.
That 2002 Canadian penny is a good find. It’s to celebrate 50 years of her reign. So far I’ve only found the quarter from that year.
Yep! And it's crazy to me that it's been another 19 years since then and she is still in power :o Thanks for watching!
I really like the bicentennials and 1999 to 2021. Getting a roll of dimes for pennies was a good find. I save all Canadian coins. On occasion I find older pennies.
Crazy roll of pennies. Whoever had those dimes was out of dime wrappers and the bank messed up or he forgot they were dimes when he cashed them in. The bank obviously didn't count them when they were redeemed. Good stuff.
Local banks I use do not recount coins that are wrapped as far as I know, Its a red .50, blue $2, green $5, etc roll to them. When short or over by a coin or two or wrong coins, its what next customer gets, so blame(or thank) your neighbors when hunting. Only rolls I open/count (before leaving bank) is dollar coins, first $25 roll I ever searched ended up $2 short.😡
Have never come across a customer wrapped penny roll full of dimes but I've been getting five or six dimes a bank penny box.
I love searching for nickels. Always looking for war nickels, buffaloes and sometimes (very seldom) finding a V nickel. Good to see you back, Quin.
What is a v Nicole what years
I have aa Nicole collection
Have all three
Been away for a little myself but I'm glad to see that you're back!
Put me down for the Massachusetts Minute Man!
I see soooo many of the coins you don't see very often & you see a lot of the ones I've never seen 😁 I'm in Albuquerque, NM. Love your channel!!
Haha funny how that works! Thank you, I appreciate it!!
Yes. I live in Guam, and I've come across several Canadian coins that I've kept.
I'm glad you're back! I learned so much from your channel about coins!
Dude, your 1982's and 1983's Washingtons are the most valuable in the quarter series, save them, you're be glad you did.
Why is that?
Yeah I live in Missouri and I found 2 Indian head penny's and a Canadian cent.
@Quinns Coins hey Quinn! Awesome to see you upload once again and back at it! I’m still unfortunately not able to buy boxes but still able to get some coins! I got some coins today that I’m gonna hunt later today and there all customer wrapped so that’s exciting! Hopefully you’re doing pretty good
Hey man, thanks so much for the comment! I am happy to be back! It is too bad that we have to go through this again in certain parts of the country, but I am glad that you are still able to get some coins and enjoying the coin shortage hunting videos! Thanks for checking in- I hope you're doing well too!!
I've just recently watched a couple of your videos. You zip through a roll in no time! Are you looking for the ones on the placemat in particular or what? Wheat cents naturally and placemat coins - anything else? Is there a chance of a double die, crack or off center etc in any of those coins?? Maybe I'm just looking way too hard hoping to find something of any sort.
Good to see you back and making videos again!
Hi Quin. Glad you are back, been hoarding coin since the shortage. Almost have 2 full presidential dollar sets. I need a Ben Franklin half to round out my collection. Keep going and stay healthy Jason. Portland Oregon.
Just wondering if you also go back and look for errors ??
You just answered live
Totally like your site, going to check out the coin mats after the program
"Do you get any Canadian coins in your rolls?" Yup, I do indeed live in Canada.
Nice video! Love the hunt! 😊 17:23
0:58 4:37 $4.50 won 🏆 congratulations!
Hello there Quin ! Just want to wish you Good Luck in All you do !!
Now those are some attractive penny rolls.
I wanted to look at the dime dates and nickels for errors 😫
Always nice to make profits
I got 2 dime rolls full of pennies and it was not funny. The bank was good enough to take them back for $10. I was not about to be $9 short.
A penny roll full of dimes is probably about as good as finding two silvers.
Exactly! I could go buy myself two silver dimes or a silver quarter with all of this extra cash :D
Wow, What fun!
I have just recently had that happen to Me at my local bank
Haven't bought any wraps of coins yet , but I am looking closer at my loose coins.
Looks like someone made a profit
check for the DDO on the 1976-D quarters
A few weeks ago I found a 1996 west point dime in a roll and it was in pristine condition.
Wow, that is a stunning find!!
I have a 1996 dime, what is the value of it
Do you keep all copper pennies pre 82? They are 95% copper
Hi I'm Robert from the Texas panhandle and as far as Canadians in my pennies I average about one of box I have not found any silver in any denominations up here seem to be awful rare
I love to put Bicentenials into bezels & make them into necklaces !.
Grandson and I just searched a box of pennies , found 22 WHEATIES, 11 Canadians, 1 Panama and 1 other forgiven. Funtimes
I have found dimes and foreigns cents but never a big honking nickel in a penny roll, wow. The hot new error coin is Tuskegee Airman. Look for the appearance of the building on fire, very cool. Keep on hunting and thanks for sharing
Hey Quin u missed a 2020 quarter
I live in British Columbia Canada and I typically get a full roll of American nickels per box. This comment relates to your question.
Where are the half dollar hunts ?
Best find I made in nickel roll was a shield nickel from the 1800s
I'm still seeing Canada pennies in my rolls here in MA
24:28 looks like a proof on the top right before he dumps the coins in the box
Last week at work I found a mercury dime and an Indian head penny in the registers. 2 different nights 😮 I traded them for newer coins, I felt so lucky. ☺️
You traded them for newer coins?
Good video man hey I didnt see t gold quarters up close but I know they had a few test runs where they use the gold coin plancha so you may have something good in that
Cool!
I get Canadian and wheat penny that’s mostly what I get every once in a while I get a nice 2021
And yeah… 2009 is a rough year I’m still searching for a 2009D nickel, I went through a $100 boxes and didn’t find any.
and I also have found a 2020 W-V75 Quarter
I like all of the eagles.
Love you Quin !!
A few months ago I bought just 4 rolls of quarters. Talk about amazing finds. I must have just hit it lucky.. I found 3 West Point quarters 2 are San Antonio and the last was just so unbelievable. I actually found a Tall Grass Prarie 'W' V75. It's beautiful a d clean. I've looked at it through my coin microscope. A good legacy coin someday.
I get a decent amount of Canadian's in rolls in SoCal.
Do not shove a nickel or a Mercury dime into your penny rolls for your girlfriends
My favorite design is covid bat
Very. Good
Found one Canadian coin and one diamond Mercury dime and one Chyna coin one other whatever it’s called with her to China corn
I have 1944, 1958,1959 penny coins
I am from hawaii.....i get 2009 lincoln commemorative pennies ALL THE TIME in my roll hunts! I save them also....found a few errors!
20:55 you missed a 2020 did not look for a w mint mark
Some customer rolled coins are all searched and all zinc but I’ve found some great customer rolled coins as well. Always a crap shoot.
I found tw0 indian head pennies in one rollof pennies. Such good lick. One was a 1904 and the other was a 1906 all in good shape.
1982no mint mark dime is a good find.
The toning on more recent quarters I presume are after being left in sun. At least in my observation.
Tengo las 10 piezas desde el 60-70
Yea my bank told me they can't sell me any coins because the shortage is so bad.
I had Canada coins in my rolls
I would much rather get Canadian Cents for a penny a pop than pay our stupid mint two or more cents each to produce new zinc tokens.
Canada is not making pennies anymore
Very interesting hunt to say the least. But I was just wondering do you ever search dollar rolls?
Thank you! No I have never hunted dollar coins before, but it is definitely something that I am interested in doing in the future!
I love to put Bi-Cens in coin Bezels & make necklace out of them !
This is a very good idea thank you very much!
I found a 1939 nickel yesterday
Me and my dad opens pennys and we got 50 dimes in a hole box.
A 1955 d is a semi key
I might have mis-seen it but it looked like that 3rd bicentennial you found (the nice one) was an S. If so that might explain the nice look to it as they were the proof finish series for the most part (or silver clad), and it was a much lower mintage.
Pennies are my fav.
Awesome video ... I would love to have some of those bicentennial quarters... If you have any extra...let me know....I would love to get or buy some from you...
Where can I find those sorting mats? Grammar has jars of some of the older ones, so does your sivler mat. I'd love a link
You can get them here: www.quinscoins.com
I found the ghost comet quarter in my change the other day
I’ve just realized you can’t loose money in this hobu
NNOOOOO!!! you are out of stock on your mats, need a set for christmas, great videos, keep it up!
Bro you said I will take an extra 9 Cents when you found a dime 😅😅
I get Canadian coins because I’m from Canada. Just wondering how I could go about getting rolls of American coins
Whats up?
What’s up! Didn’t you used to be called coin group of Minnesota?
Hey Numismatic Stacker! :D
EVERY GREAT THING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU AND YOUR BROTHER🎉🎉🎉🎉
oh you didn't know you rolled em your self because you predicted silver in the rolls. :◇
How do I get some of your place mats, and how much do you charge for them .
There is no need for a 3, 2, 1 countdown…
Some people love it, some people hate it. It's not going anywhere though cuz I like to do it :D
Not got any Canadian coins yet and I live in central Ohio south of Columbus
Has anyone ever found transitional errors in 1965 dimes, e.g. made of silver?
They won't even give me pennies at my bank 😒
That is awful, I am really sorry to hear that :/ I will say that it helps to have a business account if you can! They treat you a little bit differently in that case
@@QuinsCoins thanks for the tip👍
When you bring the coins back to the bank do you have to roll them?
Quin is a HUNK ! GO GET HIM PRETTY GIRLS !!
I hear that they're going to stop making the penny all together! Any word on that?
Let’s go another vid
Happy to be back to coin roll hunting!
