I haven't taken my trip yet so I don't know about use. But as someone with a hidden disability I like how Universal wanted medical records and not an interview.
I can definitely understand that. A little less invasive.
We had a horrible experience with Universal. Twice, I had to drag my daughter under the bars in the line due to a hypoglycemic episode. They promised us there would be ample places to exit and attendants to help us do so but that wasn’t the case on any ride. They denied her the pass. Disney automatically approved her. Dollywood was accommodating was well, I highly recommend them for accessibility. Universal seems to be cherry picking who they think deserves the access pass even when that person’s disability is covered under the ADA. It sounds to me like even when you do get approved for it they make you jump through hoops to use it.
Thanks for this video! We are all set up for DAS and I just applied for this card and have the digital temporary card.. I hope it all goes through in the next two weeks lol
Have fun!
This is so helpful, thank you! We are going to Disney and Universal for spring break. We have early admission to Universal. We would love to ride Hagrid. If we get the AAP, do you think we should arrive very early and go straight to Hagrid’s? Or not worry about getting there so early since we would have the AAP? We do have two days at Universal.
We had no problems with Hagrid. I think we went mid morning. Got a return time for Hagrid that was about an hour later, went and enjoyed some butter beer and enjoyed the sites, came back after our hour return window and enjoyed the ride. Take your time and enjoy the trip! AAP was great!
Thank you so much for explaining these passes! We have been approved for the IBCCES pass which we plan to use at Universal. Does everyone in the party get to benefit from it? We have four in our family. Thanks!
Yup! We had 7 so only 6 got to benefit with us. They will honor up to 6 guest with IBCCES. Enjoy your trip and thanks for the comment!
This fall we will go to Universal for the first time. I am very familiar with DAS, but unfamiliar with AAP so this perspective was helpful. At Disney, we did not need to purchase Genie Plus because we don't ride that many rides and the DAS was enough. What do you think about the necessity to buy an express pass at Universal and IOA if we already have the AAP?
From our experience I would still probably skip the express pass. I thought AAP was good enough, the express cost was just too high for me to justify. I hope you enjoy your trip, appreciate you watching and reaching out!!
This maybe a stupid question, but for the universal one, how does the dr send in their info? On my phone, is there a link?
We did it all on the website. Submitted all they needed.

Disney is the best.
Universal guest services is horrible. The wait time is ridiculous and they have nowhere to sit for people with disabilities. And they usually have one person working. I was disgusted how long we had to wait with my adult son with autism.
New rumor Disney is switching to this same thing universal does … this is terrible
