did you know though that if you get tr chronicles i think on pc it has level creation tools on it. and there is an absolute universe of fan made levels. many of them pretty much full games and just as good as the early tomb raiders.. XD ha thats a rabbit hole i need to avoid really because i'll never come out.
Not gonna lie though. The bloody moving veins were more eerie. Also lighting wise. The room in The Hive where you stand in the between what was maybe 6-8 cat Atlantean’s standing there, the original graphics had an extremely dark room with just the centre part lit. Remastered, all that was gone. I still enjoy the Remastered graphics but some parts were definitely better before than now.

This was said to be the intention and Lara was apparently meant to start with the shotgun and work her way through slowly although it is often said that these levels followed directly from The Great Pyramid in which case you would have all the weapons anyway. The beginning is where Lara slides down from the end of TR1. The Atlantean Stronghold had to be the most intimidating level though and I never felt safe on the ground. Really good seeing it in the Remaster!
Oh that's great to know! So the order of the levels in the OG were incorrect? I see now how starting with Atlantis where the main game just ended makes more sense. Thanks for the info
@@ppgranja3 Apparently they changed it around as the two Egypt levels where easier so it felt more like a natural gaming experience but I believe that in one time like the two Atlantis levels followed directly from those of the original game and Lara returned to Egypt later (before TR2) So the level order would be Natla's Mines, Atlantics, Great Pyramid, Atlantean Stronghold and The Hive with Return to Egypt and Temple of the Cat perhaps taking place before Lara went to China (The Great Wall level) in TR2
Yeah basically now The Atlantean Stronghold and The Hive take place in between the end of The Great Pyramid and the Ending of Tomb Raider 1 when Lara escapes the destruction of Atlantis and gets on the boat. Where as the Shadow of the Cat stuff takes place during her return to Khamoon.
I have just realised this. I thought it was a bug but it is intentional. The only problem I have found is that it is a hard level and you don't any good weapons, which you will have gathered via the two levels that would have come before. I have also heard that when you get to the return to Egypt level any weapons you gathered disappear and you are left with just the pistols. Don't know if it is true as I haven't got there yet.
The Unfinished Business served as logical explanation about how Lara has pieces of the Scion in her Trophy room in TR3, because in the main events of TR1, Lara was in hurry after destroyed the Scion, as Atlantis started to collapses after this, making that she couldn't retrieves the fragments of the Scion. At least until that she revisit the ruins of Atlantis.

But its more likely that she maybe found the pieces and retrieves it during Unfinished Business, as Lara was exploring the ruins of Atlantis to finds artifacts. Unlike the main story, in that Lara traveled to Atlantis mainly to stop Natla, making that retrieves the remains of Scion wasn't in her priorities for the moment.

Either have Lara retrive all 3 pieces in Unfinished Business or just have during The Great Pyramid when Lara shoots The Scion that the pieces shatter but remain on the Dais and Lara just gets all three pieces from there.
@@josecuestas7246 That being said if I was able to do my own TRLE I would love to make a 3rd Unfinished Business level where she does retrieve The Scion from the Ruins of Atlantis and even has a second Natla boss fight more like in Anniversary. I would even add the Atlantean enemies that were excluded from the game like the Atlantean Fish and the Atlantean Dinosaur.
They aren't dead rotting flesh so, they shouldn't smell. No juicy bacteria ridden holes or wounds either. You're the second commend I've seen saying just this.
@@ppgranja3 He means that the levels were ordered canonically, because canonically, after Lara leaves Atlantis, she returns to Egypt, but due to gameplay porpuses, they switched the levels' order since the Atlantis levels were more challenging than the Egypt ones.
Lara is one of a kind. Lots of things can kill her, as expected, but, apparently, she has some fire power thing going on, because she can walk on hot molten lava and rub her body against it and nothing happens. 😂

it's available on PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This TRUB remastered is only a part of the collections in TR 1-3 Remastered 😉😉 The exclamation mark was changed to hand icon in patch 2 if I am not wrong 😅

I had to look up Stella walkthrough to get past the lava pool jump in the Hive. Whoo wee these levels are difficult. Never played them on the original games as I had PlayStation

Is this game even possible with modern controls? it feels like a lot of your moves were possible because of the designed tank controls 🤷🏻♂️

At leaset you're able to change different controls anytime anywhere. It's okay to re-learn tank control if you find modern controls not fitting your style 😉But still, there are lots of combos requires Lara to draw her weapon in modern controls
Is it true after beating the game you get unlimited ammo? I unlocked new game plus & see no unlimited ammo so those online post are liars unless its bugged & we need a patch?
No, that's only for old games. In remastered collection NG+ provides with no unlimited ammo but give you all the weapons in the beginning. Also, no medipacks, you can use those pre-placed crystals to save and heal Lara. 😄
@@JFBrittesThe levels are considered to be cut. Developers just arranged them in that order, i think. Levels don't fit together perfectly in the plot anyway 🤷🏻♂️
The released version had return to Egypt as the first level but originally Atlantean Stronghold was intended to be the first level. That's probably why they changed it in the remasters

This is not a DLC, the level has been cut from the main game. They may have had a specific location in the main narrative. But they were cut out. It is very strange that people are looking for a specific explanation for this. It was an accident, so the sources were collected. The game was made remotely by many people around the world on outsourcing. Therefore, this was quite possible in the workflow 🤷🏻♂

Is there any trick to make her move faster (keyboard input vs actual movement) ? If I do the same "Lara's climbing up a wall animation" she needs more time than yours. Even jumping around I can't make her do it as fast as here in the video. Thanks for the advice and the walkthrough.
eh? I didn't do anything to make her climb faster. Could it be the visual difference in tank control & modern control? What I know is, Lara draws out her weapons a lot more faster in modern controls. 🥲

Why am I having such a difficult time trying to save my game in Tomb Raider One for Nintendo Switch? I've spent hours trying to solve this mystery. I finished The Caves then Lara drowned in the next level. My only choice was to choose New Game or Unfinished Business. The save of The Caves then disappears from the compass. And why is it in the compass? This is mind boggling and I've wasted many hours trying to figure this out and three calls to Nintendo Support. Deleted save data on my Switch and then the software, then downloaded again. Did that twice. Studied many walkthroughs on UA-cam and the internet but to no avail. Please help. Thank you so much!!
In T3, level temple ruins, there are a secret in the pool water, after activate pull lever, the door never open. Maybe you can check it when you will play it

Im new to these titles, as a kid I always wanted to play tomb raider games and never was able to until the reboot trilogy. The modern controls are awful and I’m wondering if I should just stick with tank controls instead?
my game in the first map was way different than yours, in the part that you fall off on those holes that have like a meat gate or what ever it is at 4:28 , i didn't know how to pass it so i found you could pass between those 2 fences and i fell into the water, most of what this video shows i didnt even do, i did get all the weps doe idk how.
if you sequeeze through the hole in between those meaty walls. Then you're reaching the end of the level. It's not intentional but it's a good way to unlock the achievement that requires players to finish that level under 5 minutes 😉
@@stevenPCGaming I guess you're right, although such destruction after Lara sliding down and suscesfully escaping Great pyramid as original cutscene shows. That explosion would most likely take down even underground remains of Atlantis where Lara was about to land after slide. My original though was that after she returned to Egypt, then would found information about some other Atlantean remnants.
Great for secrets, and, I don't think this was your intent at all, but this walkthrough misses a few items in the strong hold - I found one, so I'm on 61 of 63. One of the items may be glitched out of the map, though and doesn't get the last centaur as you missed the switch to activate him That being said without your video I'd never have found the 2nd secret!
Lol I just completed the part in the hive where you have to face the horde but for me when one came alive they all did. Plus for whatever reason the middle platform didn't keep me safe. I wound up running out of the room and down the corridor to the very end and to the left where you come in through those two doors just to separate myself from them.... Ugh the stress 😫 lol
Edit Ok wow so what I did which I had no idea was I clipped through that wall & what lies below is the exit to the level 😂😂😂😂. Wow so I just beat it that fast & didn't even explore the whole 1st stage yet damn. 4:40 😮 wow I always died when doing that! I never knew & how I got down is see in between this hanging flesh wall? Well in the middle you can see a gap that I went through & then landed in water going down so I have no idea if the devs meant it for us to go that way? Anyway since I made I ain't complaining now 😂.
I never played original TR. Just finished TR1 remastered + Unfinished business. TR1R was awesome, the game keeps you on an edge, it's interesting till the very end: throughout a game you encounter new enemies, new weapons, new scenery, new puzzles and plot twists. But "Unfinished business" was plain boring. My only wish was to end it more quickly. Going to start TR2R soon, hope it will be as cool as TR1R.
hold "inventory" button + R1, R2 , L1 or L2 see if any of the combination works. I am not quite sure which button works, I only know you have to hold the inventory button first 😅
I have just completed the first two levels of unfinished business. Ended with quite a few items. However, when I started the return to Egypt level, everything I had collected disappeared from my inventory and started the level with pistols and no health packs. As soon as finished the Hive level it told me I had completed Unfinished Business. Fortunately, I know there is a cheat to get all weapons but it doesn't give health packs. This bug, if that is what it is, seems to be the consequence of the rearranged order of the levels. Has anyone else noticed it?
This is not bug. Begining of Atlantis - no weapons and medi macks and Behining of Egypt - no weapons and medi packs. Like in first concept in 1997(?) :) They wanna use this in remasters.
Omg 4:34 I did completely wrong I thought the drop would kill me so I got on top of the slope and ran and jumped straight over the high fence and landed in water! Completely missed that whole section 😅
I thought I was doing something wrong when I was able to finish this level around 4:20 in this video by simply jumping between those 2 clear walls and dropping into the water and level was over.

Just got this on my Steamdeck the other day. It must be 20 years or more since playing the original. Good old times. I must have spent 200+ hours on Tomb Raider One. I'm going to see if I can get the nude mod later off Nexus, if there is one. What's particularly nice, is that the graphics are exactly the same now, as they were when I first playing it, blocky shit, but it worked. Wonder if they will do Blood Omen Legacy of Kain next?
@@stevenPCGaming Like that's one of the only flaws I'm noticing in the collection so far is they didn't add music to UB. The other flaws I'm noticing is that there is no way to adjust the graphics settings, it's too dark too see in a lot of places (which is ridiculous in areas where there is literally sunlight shining in), and some of the keys blend in with the ground and I have to switch to the original graphics to find them
@@Laineyraider that is true.... in the furnace of the gods in TR2 Gold, the gold nugget is too small and with the same color as the floor textures.... I had to switch back to classic graphics to locate it 😭
I always felt the atlantian levels were my least favourite, so was unpleasantly greeted by more atlantian.....fun on booting up TR RM unfinished business. I will endure.

hahahha that's only for hidden Uzis. That jump can be tricky cuz you can either slide down into the water or end the level 🙃

It's a glitch for sure. And of course there's an achievement which requires players to finish that level within 5 minutes. That'd do the trick 😉

I did the same thing... I had like 10 of 60 pickups and was wondering how that was possible... turns out I skipped most of the level!

@@stevenPCGaming I fell through the main 2 holes first and instantly died, so figured I'd try that little space between the 2 walls. now I see I had to fall very specifically through that one hole. Is this game even possible with modern controls? it feels like a lot of your moves were possible because of the designed tank controls 🤷🏻♂️

At leaset you're able to change different controls anytime anywhere. It's okay to re-learn tank control if you find modern controls not fitting your style 😉But still, there are lots of combos requires Lara to draw her weapon in modern controls

Is it true after beating the game you get unlimited ammo? I unlocked new game plus & see no unlimited ammo so those online post are liars unless its bugged & we need a patch?
No, that's only for old games. In remastered collection NG+ provides with no unlimited ammo but give you all the weapons in the beginning. Also, no medipacks, you can use those pre-placed crystals to save and heal Lara. 😄

@@JFBrittesThe levels are considered to be cut. Developers just arranged them in that order, i think. Levels don't fit together perfectly in the plot anyway 🤷🏻♂️
The released version had return to Egypt as the first level but originally Atlantean Stronghold was intended to be the first level. That's probably why they changed it in the remasters

This is not a DLC, the level has been cut from the main game. They may have had a specific location in the main narrative. But they were cut out. It is very strange that people are looking for a specific explanation for this. It was an accident, so the sources were collected. The game was made remotely by many people around the world on outsourcing. Therefore, this was quite possible in the workflow 🤷🏻♂

If I do the same "Lara's climbing up a wall animation" she needs more time than yours.
Even jumping around I can't make her do it as fast as here in the video.

Why am I having such a difficult time trying to save my game in Tomb Raider One for Nintendo Switch? I've spent hours trying to solve this mystery. I finished The Caves then Lara drowned in the next level. My only choice was to choose New Game or Unfinished Business. The save of The Caves then disappears from the compass. And why is it in the compass?
This is mind boggling and I've wasted many hours trying to figure this out and three calls to Nintendo Support. Deleted save data on my Switch and then the software, then downloaded again. Did that twice. Studied many walkthroughs on UA-cam and the internet but to no avail.

In T3, level temple ruins, there are a secret in the pool water, after activate pull lever, the door never open. Maybe you can check it when you will play it

Im new to these titles, as a kid I always wanted to play tomb raider games and never was able to until the reboot trilogy. The modern controls are awful and I’m wondering if I should just stick with tank controls instead?
Depends on your preference. I'd still recommend play with tank controls cuz some moves are not as complicated as modern controls. 🥲

my game in the first map was way different than yours, in the part that you fall off on those holes that have like a meat gate or what ever it is at 4:28 , i didn't know how to pass it so i found you could pass between those 2 fences and i fell into the water, most of what this video shows i didnt even do, i did get all the weps doe idk how.
if you sequeeze through the hole in between those meaty walls. Then you're reaching the end of the level. It's not intentional but it's a good way to unlock the achievement that requires players to finish that level under 5 minutes 😉

Speaking from the original gold expansion, yes. But I think the dev changed it to make the whole story logical 🤔
@@stevenPCGaming I guess you're right, although such destruction after Lara sliding down and suscesfully escaping Great pyramid as original cutscene shows. That explosion would most likely take down even underground remains of Atlantis where Lara was about to land after slide.
My original though was that after she returned to Egypt, then would found information about some other Atlantean remnants.
Great for secrets, and, I don't think this was your intent at all, but this walkthrough misses a few items in the strong hold - I found one, so I'm on 61 of 63. One of the items may be glitched out of the map, though and doesn't get the last centaur as you missed the switch to activate him
That being said without your video I'd never have found the 2nd secret!
Lol I just completed the part in the hive where you have to face the horde but for me when one came alive they all did. Plus for whatever reason the middle platform didn't keep me safe. I wound up running out of the room and down the corridor to the very end and to the left where you come in through those two doors just to separate myself from them.... Ugh the stress 😫 lol

4:40 😮 wow I always died when doing that! I never knew & how I got down is see in between this hanging flesh wall? Well in the middle you can see a gap that I went through & then landed in water going down so I have no idea if the devs meant it for us to go that way?

I never played original TR. Just finished TR1 remastered + Unfinished business. TR1R was awesome, the game keeps you on an edge, it's interesting till the very end: throughout a game you encounter new enemies, new weapons, new scenery, new puzzles and plot twists. But "Unfinished business" was plain boring. My only wish was to end it more quickly. Going to start TR2R soon, hope it will be as cool as TR1R.

How to change between weapons during the game 🤔
hold "inventory" button + R1, R2 , L1 or L2 see if any of the combination works. I am not quite sure which button works, I only know you have to hold the inventory button first 😅
I have just completed the first two levels of unfinished business. Ended with quite a few items. However, when I started the return to Egypt level, everything I had collected disappeared from my inventory and started the level with pistols and no health packs. As soon as finished the Hive level it told me I had completed Unfinished Business. Fortunately, I know there is a cheat to get all weapons but it doesn't give health packs. This bug, if that is what it is, seems to be the consequence of the rearranged order of the levels. Has anyone else noticed it?
This is not bug. Begining of Atlantis - no weapons and medi macks and Behining of Egypt - no weapons and medi packs. Like in first concept in 1997(?) :) They wanna use this in remasters.

Just got this on my Steamdeck the other day. It must be 20 years or more since playing the original. Good old times. I must have spent 200+ hours on Tomb Raider One. I'm going to see if I can get the nude mod later off Nexus, if there is one. What's particularly nice, is that the graphics are exactly the same now, as they were when I first playing it, blocky shit, but it worked. Wonder if they will do Blood Omen Legacy of Kain next?
There are tons of excellent mods on Nexus. I even used some to fixed some SFX issue. Wonderful 😄

@@stevenPCGaming Like that's one of the only flaws I'm noticing in the collection so far is they didn't add music to UB. The other flaws I'm noticing is that there is no way to adjust the graphics settings, it's too dark too see in a lot of places (which is ridiculous in areas where there is literally sunlight shining in), and some of the keys blend in with the ground and I have to switch to the original graphics to find them
@@Laineyraider that is true.... in the furnace of the gods in TR2 Gold, the gold nugget is too small and with the same color as the floor textures.... I had to switch back to classic graphics to locate it 😭
I always felt the atlantian levels were my least favourite, so was unpleasantly greeted by more atlantian.....fun on booting up TR RM unfinished business. I will endure.
