Why call a three bet before the flop with AQ if you’re not going to call him down when you flop an ace ? On that board there’s a very narrow range that beats you.

Bro so sorry to spam your shit but you keep putting opponents on hands and then doing the opposite of what you should be :) A9 hand you put him on clubs, then check the turn when he lows down? Go for value, or maybe you have to turn your hand into bluff.

  • @mikehickmanvloggamessingin3604

Thanks for the video and your transparency. Your bluffing good in good spots. That said as you, almost everyone knows you were bluffed too much, and you overfolded too much. I'm not trying to roast you. Your usually a good player, make the right calls, folds, etc.
In 1/2 games and extremely high stakes, there is a lot of bluffing. In low to mid stakes, there is a lot of underbluffed spots. And not only is there more bluffing at 1/2 games, to go along with the nits, etc, they also OVERVALUE their hands a lot. Also since you are well known, and can fold, etc, you are TARGETED a lot, more then other players are, that want their bluff of you on your Vlogg.
There was a LOT of bluffing and overvaluing and GOOD POT ODDS, all mixed, combined together, in that session, against you and others. you were getting 3 to 1, 3.5 to 1, 4 to 1, 4.5 to 1, 5 to 1 pot odds to call river bets. that were likely bluffs, overvalues, after you CHECKED, LOOKED LIKE YOU WERE WEAK ON THE TURN. They knew, thought you were weak on turn, and if they were wrong, they knew there was a semi reasonable chance you would fold the river to a half pot, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, POT, double pot, all in bets, bluffs, overvalues on the river.
And not only were you folding, but you were folding hands like TOP PAIR TOP KICKER, with UNLIKELY, an or no 3,4 card possible straights, flushes, where only a HIDDEN Full house, Set, tripps, 2 pair beat you. And you were thinking they were ALMOST ALWAYS WERE OR COULD POSSIBLY BE SLOWPLAYING YOU ALMOST ALL THE TIME. If they make a standard raise, the make a standard 37% of pot cbet, and then check the turn, and then you check behind the turn, and then they bet 1/4, 1/3, 39% of pot, etc, on river, there is about a 87% chance they are either OVERVALUING their top pair, mid pair, bottom pair, an or semi bluffing, an or bluffing your TOP PAIR TOP KICKER, small 2 pair, etc. In that situation you CALL their small value bet, value bluff, etc, on the river, because your going to be right, and your top pair, top kicker, etc, is going to be good about 87% of the time in that situation, especially since they are probably not NITS, NOT TIGHT, and 1/2 being chump change to them, and them targeting you, and them overvaluing, etc.
And to make it even better for you, you were getting 3 to 5 to 1 pot odds, where you only had to call $200 with TOP PAIR TOP KICKER, WITH STRAIGHTS, FLUSHES UNLIKELY,. WITH YOU SHOWING CHECK WEAKNESS ON TURN, to WIN $800. You ONLY HAVE TO BE RIGHT 25% OF THE TIME, with a LIKELY 87% CHANCE TO BE AHEAD, WINNING, with Top Pair Top Kicker, with flushes, straights, unlikely, with you showing possible check weakness on turn.
Yeah, sometimes you will call in those spots, and LOSE A LOT in those spots, but MOST OF THE TIME, your WINNING BIG POTS, that will offset the pots you lose there in those spots.
QQ vs the AK hand. Their range was JJ, AK, KK, AA preflop. Postflop, if they had KK, AA, they would likely bet 500, half the pot, good pot odds to call, to try to suck you in. They wouldnt go all in, unless to protect from draws, because it would look extremely strong, could force a unwanted fold. because of that, they either had AK, or JJ. Because of that, about a 75% chance you were ahead, winning. And at worst, 50/50 ahead, behind(2 hands you beat, 2 hands that beat you), with AWESOME POT ODDS(ABOUT 2.5 to 1)(Call 1000 to probably have 50/50 at worst to try to win about 2500).
Yeah sometimes you'll run into KK, AA there, in that situation, but most of the time, your ahead, winning, in that kind of spot, situation.
Also like you said you needed to bet about 115+ at the extreme minimum into that 170 pot, to protect your hand from draw, and extracting more value, by making them pay to much to see draw. Betting 70 into a 170 pot is way to little, as you said. You need to bet more vs the draws.
Hope that helps you and others. It probably will. I'm not trying to roast you. I'm just trying to help you. I know your a good player. Working on not overfolding and going by pot odds, GTO, betting more vs draws, etc, will help you to become even better then you already are.
Thanks a lot for your videos.
