Right!! Yes!! The simple solution would be for UA-cam to just auto-delete any comment that is made more than ONCE on a single video. It CAN'T be THAT hard to implement.

This is why I’m for “bullying”. Dislikes were considered bullying so they got rid of the count.

Telling a kid with ADHD if they keep poking you they’re going to be punched in the chest? It’s not bullying. If the kid keeps poking nobody can be mad when he gets his gut punched in. Even with ADHD you learn to just stop being a nuisance AFTER experiencing direct consequences after being warned.
I was labeled with ADHD from 3 years old.
I moved in with more responsible parents that actually ground their kids and take their things.
I no longer have ADHD. And yes I learned by gut punch and more. I wouldn’t learn any other way. I’m hard headed and I know I’m not the only one.
Bring back bullying not harassment. Punishment is lacking these days. And it shows.

Bots talk about selling CP but I say a curse word and my comments get hidden
A few months ago, I stumbled upon some UA-cam comment bots where one bot would start a thread about some kind of amazing product, and then the other bot comments would follow up with, "Absolutely Joe, this product works wonders." I was so confused as to what was going on the first time I saw it. And it would be like 10 or 20 different accounts that would be talking about this product that was completely unrelated to the video. I would then finally see a few human comments towards the end, where they would say something like "wtf is up with these bots?" So yea the problem is pretty bad here.
Seen a lot of bots promoting psychedelics like some sort of magic cure, which is quite dangerous when one does take such substances without the correct mindset and preparation.
I've seen them for years and they always mention some person on whatsapp/snapchat that earned them some unrealistic amount of money, I always report the OP and the 15 others playing along

I absolutely agree, that's why I trust John Dickstain to do all my online shopping, John has a proven track record and has been shopping for 20 years. Its actual amazing how well he shops and does other things like shopping. thanks Janice, I'll call him today.
I've noticed bots copying word for word top comments to gain traction as well. This one honestly is especially egregious to me.
They don't just copy top comments.
They'll take a random one.
I had that happen to me in a NeebsGaming video. The goddamned bot stole everything I wrote word for word and they got dozens of thousands of like whereas I got like 4 and a comment saying I stole the others comment. My comment was made a month before, the bots comment was made like a day after 30 days. My comment saying they stole my comment was deleted so many times I just gave up.

I post stuff and many, many, times. I say something and it asks me if I really want to post that or edit it. Or, my comments disappear.
A big problem is that UA-cam uses Google translate. And it's terrible. So people read my comments in another language that are mistranslated and get upset and write nasty comments to me that have nothing to do with what I said.
My problem with UA-cam disabling comments is how they're using the "content for children" excuse to push inappropriate content towards children without any pushback from people .
One of my videos had comments turned off even though I was 20 in that video and the person I commentated on was 23. *I even had a full beard and the algo still detected me as a kid*
@@DivanCelloI’m a teen and when I used to make videos they all got comments disabled so I constantly had to Re-Enable my comments because it detects me as too young or somthing. The main thing that I hated about them disabling my comments was, I love criticism, it’s the best way to figure out what my viewers like and what they don’t like. And the algorithm killed my channel and I got 0 views in 3 months so I quit.
yep i thought we already had youtube kids for the children, but they want to heavily censor this platform while allowing the same inappropriate stuff for the people that shouldnt be seeing it. and also the p word for map the other p word is censored so now we know who runs both platforms since yt is owned by same company
I stopped paying for Premium because they hid my comments. I even checked and there was nothing "offensive" in them.
Meanwhile others posted absolute vitriol and the comments rose to the top.
I found that sometimes it's the reply tag that gets flagged!
I made a comment about Minecraft a little while ago and the comment kept getting deleted... Turned out that it was the channel's *USERNAME* in the reply tag getting flagged....

@@Lonaticus Yeah I couldn't believe it when I tested it out. Removing the tag was the only edit I did to the comment too. I tried it again on a Spore video and sure enough, the reply tag was getting flagged again.
@@mark8200 Agreed. If the UA-camr doesn't want certain kinds of comments they can go into their settings and filter out those words themselves. No need for UA-cam to backseat moderate.
I hate the bots that copy someone else's comment and have a bikini model profile pic with an phishing ad on the profile. No one seems to realize it's a bot.
It doesn't surprise me nobody seems to realize. People amaze me with their general lack of awareness even outside the Internet. Them not realizing a bot with a bikini picture doesn't surprise me at all.

My "theory" is that accounts have some kind of hidden reputation. Get into a heated discussion, call someone dumb and now you accrued "bad reputation" on your account. It never goes away and only increases.
(All comments I make that include links gets deleted. All of them. Nothing I can do about it, my account is flagged)
A new account on the other hand is completely clean. If you wanna post questionable stuff, you just create new accounts over and over again.

A worse problem is that comments keep disappearing randomly, completely prohibiting having any kind of actual discussion, no matter how benign.
Yeah, he needs to make a video about the easily triggered youtube nannybot that's blocking and shadowblocking tons of comments. I've started a list of innocuous words that have gotten my comments blocked. I wish I had started sooner.
About half of my comments disappear, or get hidden under "new".
They want to discourage real dialogue, or well thought out comments.
The spam and illicit content in comments has spiraled out of control, an issue that clearly has to be addressed by UA-cam promptly.

some of these bots link directly to downloads of actual cp, i think the best course of action is to go after youtubes advertisers, inform them about youtubes lack of prevention in stopping this, and once the advertisers pull out and the only thing youtube cares about is in danger, then they might just fix it

*The way these comments don't get detected by auto moderation is that they add a special character that makes it have a right to left rendering for the text, and they type the comment in reverse, so to the automod it just looks like gibberish*

They are also at a point where they are just the default platform for long videos so I don’t think they care because people will never stop using it no matter how bad it gets

The rage bait ones are awful, but the more weird ones are the ones on the financial videos where someone says some variation of "I've been blessed, x person made me 1 million dollars in 6 months with stocks I would recommend them". and they have a bunch of bot's reply that they also made that money and sometimes the bot's act skeptical and then turn around to believing it it's quite weird especially since they tailor it to the video a lot of the time.
If I was more bored I would check those and see how many identical comment chains I could identify... Second sad thing is to see days crypto coin pump and dump...
Makes me wonder how many real people with real investing power and gains were swindled and tricked by the bots' misinformed or malicious comments.

What really sucks about bots is when you have a platform where bots repost the exact same things which other people have said to just farm karma points or whatever the heck bots need to masquerade themselves as live people to the point that you can't actually discover the original person who made the comment. it just leads to a distrust of the social media platform your in because there is no intelligent discussion to be had. It's like visiting your book club and as you open the door you realize it's just an entire zoo of parrots. You can say whatever you want, some will even reply back to you, but you won't ever get to talk about the book you just read.

I was unfortunate enough to see those comment bots that were sharing CSAM. Seeing those comments make me sick to my stomach. I tried reporting those comments, but it seems like they never go away. UA-cam NEEDS to step up their moderation.
Sadly i saw one with a direct link to a site. Reported it directly to authorities so.. i hope at least the site is down?

then i realized i'm Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC.
I was trying to make a comment on one of the Xbox channel's videos and figured out that they are blocking the word "is"! It's the FragPunk: Xbox Showcase 2024 Extended Trailer. It's got 684k views but only 444 comments. Think how many comments were blocked because they used the word "is". Also Daily Dose of Internet is blocking the word "my" on his latest videos.

Interesting, my issue is the exact opposite. I generally stoped commenting since it feels like my comments just constantly get deleted (maybe for swearing? Idk. I heard every youtuber can blacklist certain words) but I have no idea what these are. Especially when getting into debates I’ve had a bunch of comments just deleted immediately. Which makes a back and fourth interaction very hard and honestly I just don’t want to waste my time with it anymore.
Most likely UA-cam's nannybot but youtubers like to censor too.

Ive notice it and it become more frequent and aggressive, and so bloated with it. As you sayd mostly channel that have a high view count gets targeted by these but on rare occurrence it happens to those with less which can be very brutal.
Like the top comment gets targeted like about 10 to 20+ of those comments.
As a viewer who likes to time to time check comments its so annoying, UA-cam has to do something to counter this.

Daily Dose of the Internet sees the fembots in his comment section but instead of getting rid of them, he hearts their comments! I've seen it several times. He did it twice on his latest video.
The people doing this are a group known as the "UTTP" They started off in the early 2010s as a trolling group full of 13 year olds that played a huge role in the Goanimate/vyond community. But now, they resurged and are worse than ever. This isn't trolling. This is criminal behavior.
So what are you gonna do without feeding them?

I remember there was one woman I was friends with on Facebook who believed in the most bizarre claims. Her and I even had a whole argument about the cashpoint "Put your pin number backwards and it'll call the Police", she was adamant it was real and said "No! It happened to my friend because she got a Police number!" But yet she refused to elaborate further and instead deleted the post.
Then when the 'Rona was big, she shared a picture which said "If you have a cough, drink some vinegar, because that means the virus is in your throat and you can stop it in its tracks." And immediately I posted a link from the NHS which said "Don't do that, that's not what it is at all." And again she deleted the post without admitting she was wrong
I find it funny that UA-cam will delete and shadowban comments made by regular people, but won't do anything about bot comments

My comment was deleted and all three of the spam comments I reported 20 minutes ago are still up. I should probably give up on UA-cam comments at this point. UA-cam is too terrified of real liberalism to be able to run a platform like UA-cam effectively. It will probably never get better.
Third time trying to post a comment, and the bots that I reported are still there. Amazing.
UA-cam is more worried about me calling someone a "POS" or an "Idiot" than fixing real harmful spam. I'll be watching a Police Bodycam video and sometimes I'll leave a comment about the criminal saying "What a POS" etc. then a few minutes later I'll get a community guidelines pop-up saying i'm "Cyberbullying and Harassing" and my comment was removed. Most of the time it says if I continue to do it I could lose my account and that's it but, sometimes I'll get a ban where I can't comment for 24 hrs. This to me is absolute BS! Anybody can say whatever they want in videos, say things I wouldn't dream of saying, but I call the criminal in the bodycam video a name and they say I'm cyberbullying and harassing them? YT can GF themselves!

The other day I caught this bot advocating "maps" (UA-cam won't let me use the actual word" on everyones comment. Saying kids can consent and it should be normalised. It's beyond me that bots can spam texts that basically tell people to unalive themselves or that advertise cp, and nothing happens. Yet actual people's comments immediately disappear for no good reason. This whole platform is such a mess and it's absolutely annoying. It discourages people from saying anything and the creators suffer because less comments mean less fodder for the algorithm.
I got muted 24 hour by youtube just because cursing too much 😂 and also some of my comments even without cuss got sent into backrooms.
When i curse youtube was like "HEY, that's not allowed you sinner!", but when other people curse they were just "amen, brother"
Idea: Bring the illegal and hard R comments up to UA-cam's biggest advertisers. If ad revenue is going to drive the platform, make sure the advertisers know exactly what kind of platform they're associating with.
Though at the same time, with some of the more questionable ads that float around on UA-cam, it makes you wonder.
Theyll do something about people saying slurs over a protected class, but sadly children dont seem to be a protected class.
