@@rinkarto use ur head small. It can be used for road constructions and other developmental and sanitation projects in the country whiles still creating jobs for the youth the same time. Not only mining and clearing forests! Besides even if mining is legally done, these same types of equipments are still needed. They can still be exported and sold to other countries that needs them or even donated. Which will create revenue too for our country. Which we obviously need so bad. Plus if investigations was really going on about these activities to punish the real people behind it, they would need these machines to conduct effective investigations to catch the culprits. The big men. Why are they not doing that? Looks like government is deliberately hiding some people. For what?? I don't know!

Of course excavators are expensive and can be used in drainage and create jobs; but time isn’t on our side for dialogue now. In few years to come..Ghana may import water and have no forest reserves left. In dire times, you need VERY ruthless measures to sanitize the situation first. If cocaine or any material used in crime is confiscated, it’s burnt by the police!! Why not sell the guns or seized items since it’ll create income? Our very lives and generations are under threat and excavators aren’t more important at this point
The equipments found at the illegale mining sights , such as escavatore should have been seized by the goverment and used on the projects that will benefit the law abiding citizens of the country. Burning is the machinery is as bad as the illegale mining...
