I have also took my grandparents at the south tower observation deck in that year as well when they were visiting the United States. It is impossible to believe everything is gone including the hotel you recorded in. Damn it!!!!!!!
True, it is hard to believe it's all gone now. They should have tried to rebuild the twin towers as close to the originals as possible. The new Freedom Tower is nice, but I still prefer the original twins.
Thank you so much for sharing this unique video from the WTC 3, Bobby Knight! It's so cool to see how it was inside that building that stood so close to the Twin Towers! :D
I have enjoyed your videos. Brings back allot of memories. The Marriott was originally called The Vista International. I stayed there many times meeting up with family who worked in the towers. The hotel will always be The Vista to me.
Yes, The Vista was a bit more (lets say), stately than Marriott; although after Marriott took over, it still remained a very nice hotel. I was in and out, up and down the towers quite often since I had family who worked in WTC 1 and 2. However, most of my time was spent in WTC 7 for business. I miss the complex/Towers as well. The towers were like 'home'. What I miss most is my family and friends that never made it out. Memories of a lifetime. Thanks for capturing some of the greatness of the complex!!

@@mrandrossguy9871 Yes, I agree with you there. A replica Twin Towers could potentially be built in another city like maybe Chicago or even another *country* like Canada or Mexico. I wouldn't mind it and I guarantee a replica Twins would attract *way* more tourists than the Freedom Tower. Even if they're never rebuilt, the Aon Center in Chicago is the closest we'll ever get, especially now that it's getting an observatory in the near future. It looks similar to the Twin Towers and was built around the same time. It's even close to a shore like the WTC. Also, the Federal Plaza in Chicago is similar to the old 4, 5 & 6 WTC buildings, and the red sculpture there is similar to the one near the old 7 WTC. Chicago is the closest thing to NYC. So similar that Home Alone was filmed here.
@@Galidorquest AON Center is indeed very similar both aesthetically and structurally speaking. But don't forget about the BOK Tower in Tulsa OK. It is just about the closest living relative to the twins that was actually designed by the same architect (M. Yamasaki) of the old WTC. It bears remarkable similarities, but is nowhere near the massive scale of those towers.
The original World Trade Center complex was just so beautiful, I love everything about it, especially the Towers themselves. It was a dream of mine to one day visit this place until that awful day happened and took that dream away from me.
