The most amazing thing to do is relisten to all the episodes before this night. They would plain layout how and why Trump was going to win then like, the rest of us, jump through hoops to say he wouldn't. They called it, they just couldn't bring themselves to believe it.

thing is, my prediction is that he will be president again. the only thing that kept out trump out of office in 2020 was covid, and the fact that a bumbling idiot was handling a crisis and we needed government to work again. Biden addressed covid by just sort of letting it pass, but economic instability and foreign crisis has popped up that he cannot handle. Any sort of revulsion to trump the character is gone now after seeing how shitty a biden presidency is. This is predicated around biden being the democratic nominee, which in december 2023 looks very likely. To me, this doesn't mean republicans win the house or senate due to the fact that a generic republican is less popular due to a generic democrat due to how weird republicans are as well as Dobbs. The combination of biden underperforming a generic democrat and trump over preforming a generic republican would lead to another trump presidency imo.

This timeline is harder to follow than Cloud Atlas. That said, I would have loved this is if it was a mess, but it's actually extremely well done!
It's amazing to see how much of Matt's closing comments about what is needed in a post-Trump political era is taking place: progressive grassroots political movements and replacing machine Dems with Socialists. Seems like that's (kind of) what's been happening around the country, especially this year.

I don’t know what Virgil did/didn’t do, we all know the general allegations and we know he dipped soon after. But either way, regardless, I do mourn the passing of this moment in time when these four still hung out and had that spark which only comes from legitimate fear of being homeless if you fail. Virgil, for whatever shit he may have done, is/was hilarious and added a unique element to the show. This only makes his transgressions suck more for the rest of us
