Welcome to the world of floss tube. My husband always give me free rein when it came to my stitching. I gave up doing counted cross stitching about 17 years ago. Last year just before Halloween I decided to see if I could actually do cross stitching again. I only do 14 count and usually pretty small patterns but I'm loving it and helps to pass the time. My paternal grandmother was 1/2 Irish on her father's side...Daniel McBride and English on her mother's side. I'm sure that was a combination!! LOl Her name was Rosa Ann. I couldn't resist the Polar Plunge series. I did get 16 ct to try it so they would fit on the backing boards. I haven't started on them yet. Maybe I'll save them for a New Year's start. I have fall stitching going now. I'm only doing a couple of patterns for that and then it's on to Halloween and Christmas. I especially love Halloween stitching.
