I’m an older music fan in the U.S., with fairly wide and comprehensive tastes. Ado is the most intense, passionate, and moving singer I’ve ever heard. She already has an incredible catalog of fantastic songs that I listen to A LOT. I’m also a huge fan of Perfume, so when I heard New Genesis I recognized that distinct Nakata sound. Also a big fan of Sheena Ringo and the influence is obvious. Ado is so inspirational in so many ways, she’s really deserving of all the accolades.

I immediately loved it and switched my attention to her lol. Her music opened me up to listening to japanese music and her along with a couple bands i listen to solidified my love for music so I joined my schools band and started to play guitar and keyboard. ado being able to still interact in a mundane way with her viewer is something I lost with many of older generation (even generation prior to soraru and mafumafu) utaitte that went to major label. I'm glad as time goes on, those major label dont restrict their artist too much anymore.
Jiga Hidai still holds up, btw. Part of me wants her to do another version of it like she did with Mabel and Accident Coordinator, to see what she could bring to it today, but her version from 6 years ago is already amazing.
