Absolutely amazing narrating Otis! Absolutely love the quality and variety of the stories featured on the channel guys! One of my favorite places to stop each night for one hell of a good fright!
Sweet unholy entities! As I sit outside in the dead of night in a vacant dark parking lot waiting till sun light I listen to the horrendous tales of fear and madness. holy there are some creepy as stories!
I really must like this video now because what always happens as routine is, I snuggle into bed, start one of your amazing stories, put my eye mask on to black out any light, then let my crazy ADHD brain visualise your words, playing out the story in my mind like a movie .... however I’m never awake by the end and so I often forget to ‘like & share’! So I’m doing it now instead because i know before listening to it all that I’m goin to love it 😊 Luv you CTFDN X
I don’t know why my mother used to read me to sleep with the original brothers grim stories. Now chilling tales for dark nights is one of the few horror audios that I can fall asleep to. XD
I've loved Lovecraft since the '70's and I enjoy Otis Jiry's interpretation the best. I've heard others that made me want to hit a button and drop them through a trapdoor. Of course Morgan Freeman could read a phonebook out loud and make it interesting. Lets not forget other great voices; James Earl Jones, Sean Connery, Robert Redford, Stacy Keach and the late Hal Holbrook.
First time listening to Lovecraft; first time listening to this channel- I am enjoying it thus far, and.. for a while this reader reminds me of Morgan Freemen. Is that bad?
Great work as usual.. Between you guys, CreepsMcPasta's channel and the No Sleep Podcast I've fallen way behind on listening/watching much else. Not in a place where I can become a patron, I do try and spread the word tho.
Good lineup of stories! Another short story that I've always enjoyed the sci-fi one where the narrator is on another planet in our solar system harvesting crystals used for electricity from an alien pyramid. Can't quite remember the title but one of you may enjoy it.
Great compilation guys!
Thanks, Joel!
+Chilling Tales For Dark Nights yay Lovecraft....
Love seeing you commenting on other narrations. Reminds me that your, although disembodied, voice is a real guy. Love it.
Disturbing tales Crafted with Love!
The reader is perfect for these short gems.

Otis's voice is so good ugh it's dry yet beautiful like a sunrise over a desert
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised a video with such an unassuming title started on a story I hadn't heard before

The narrator is a good choice, he has one of those old sounding voices that sounds as if hes seen some shit in his time. Perfect for these stories.
He sounds like the road trip audiobook from HIMYM... zero atmosphere for Cool Air. I got none of the affect and emotional impact.
Yes, H.P. Lovecraft! This was the reason why i subscribed. Thank you.
We have plenty more on the way!

I like how descriptive Lovecraft is with his writing. It could be said he overdoes the adjectives but I feel it is a perfect balance.
Great one!
This compilation and this channel has definitely won me over 😀 I so love all of it
I Love H. P. Lovecraft!
Us too!

I abhor the cold...
great stories...thanks
how about chilling tales for Dark Knights? :)
Batman can't handle us.
The old man’s eyes were yellow? Either he’s got jaundice or he’s Azazel
1. The Rats in the Walls
2. The Shadow Over Innsmouth
3. The Shadow Out of Time
4. At the Mountains of Madness
5. The Call of Cthulu
All very good choices. I can confirm stories 2-5 are going to be in Otis' Vol II. along with Re-Animator. The Rats in the Walls will be later.
Absolutely love Lovecraft 💓

Love this compilation guys! But I do wonder, why not include The Statement of Randolph Carter as well?
Because these are all stories read by Otis Jiry. We will have other compilations out soon feat. full productions of Lovecraft tales, don't you worry.
Ah, I take your point sir.
Love craft has a hell of a vocab

I think it might be 'In the Walls of Eryx' but I'm not 100%.
listened to this last night and had the weirdest dreams.
I do the same thing with The Dunwich Horror :P
Lovecraft really glossed over the whole EYE thing..lol🧐👻
Lovecraft is always an excellent option.
Binge watch Lovecraft...a video after my own heart!
OTIS IN THIS STORY YOU SOUND LIKE DOCTOR BREEN FROM HALF LIFE
The creatures in the Lurking Fear sound a lot like The morlock from The Time Machine.
How can I get my stuff published on your website?
Email us at submissions (at) chillingtalesfordarknights.com.
Does anyone else feel like "The Terrible Old Man" sounds like that new movie "Don't Breath"?
2:54:00-ish isn't it fungi not funji?

Dear Kitten..........
Can you use Audacity to make the reading voice sound like morgan freemans?
That would be disingenuous.
+Chilling Tales For Dark Nights then can you get him as a guest reader? crowd would go nuts ;-)
Chilling Tales For Dark Nights never underestimate the immersion power of Morgan Freemans voice lol
We have our own Morgan Freeman. His name is Otis Jiry. :)
what does it take to be a voice actor?
Empathy and understanding of human behavior and mannerisms, mostly. And decent recording equipment.
What was his cat’s name?

Otis, your voice bores me to tears.
Your comment lacks value . Could you elaborate on this a bit? What exactly is it that you find "boring"?
Necronomicon
