- A rare home video of the Munsters Band performing live at Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, October 24, 1964, as part of the Y Day in Hollywood concert. The footage includes Al Lewis and Butch Patrick with the George Barris Munsters Koach on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Little is known about the Munsters band except for their release of a LP on Decca, which includes the clip's track, "Munster Creep."

I played the drums for the Munster Band at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. The band was The DuVals from the San Fernando Valley, and the leader was Bill Wild. We also played live in the movie theatre at the San Francisco Wax Museum. The three masks worn by the band, were made at Universal Studios, and covered the entire head. I was behind the singers and didn't wear a mask. I do remember the Munster Coach was there and our introduction was by Fess Parker (Davie Crockett).
So was that actually Yvonne De Carlo
go-go dancing? Sure looks like her, and
she had a dancer-background.
Kinda funny all those Marines are in the back in dress uniform.
I don't remember her name, but it was not Yvonne De Carlo. She wore lots of make-up (no mask), and we only saw her when we played live.
Bill Wild, Jim Infield and Roger Yorke - also recorded an album for RCA as the Go-Go's
Do you play with the Munster’s Band at the Melodyland Theater? I saw this group as they were the opening act for The Beach Boys.
I don't remember playing at Melodyland. I played in other bands around Sothern California, until I was drafted in 1965.@@nicolehuffman2995
They were actually pretty good! Love the costumes and the Go-Go girl!
I can't think of a way I could love this more!
I would love to see this properly scanned today.
I tried to make it happen. He isn't interested in scanning it unfortunately.
The lead guitar and bass player are from The Standells who appeared in an episode of The Munsters around this time.
With all the hype and marketing this show had, hard to believe it was cancelled after 2 years.
+Jay Lawrence Well...they did keep getting resurrected...as it were.
Rob Zombie says "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!".
