Thinking og getting a keratin treatment done. Your video was helpful and i love that you respond to every question asked. That helped. Thank u. You have a new subbie.
Hi Anissa, hello from NYC and thanks for sharing your journey. I was waiting for this video update! I have seen the stories from women who’ve said their hair fell out with keratin, or that it damaged their hair and caused a lot of breakage. My Q is how many treatments have you had so far? How far apart? And have you experienced fall out or damage/breakage? Thanks in advance!
Hi MK thanks for your questions. All together I have had 6 treatments ( 2 from 3 years ago and 4 within the last year). I try to get a treatment on a three month cycle but there has been some time were there has been a 4 month gap between treatments. I've seen those stories too just before I was deciding to get the treatment but what i found is that the products they were using contained formaldehyde which was the reason they experienced breakage and damage. Before I got the treatment I asked my hair stylist what brand he was using, what ingredients were included in the products and did my own research of the brand to make sure it didn't contain any harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde. I haven't experienced any fall out or damage from the treatment. Over the last few months I have noticed split ends in the back of my hair but I don't necessarily think it is because of the treatment, as I explained in the video the last few months I've been manipulating my hair a lot so could be for that reason? But I am being watchful to see if it gets worse.
OMG, I be topknotting and damaging my hair too😂 But its currently growing back really well and Im here because im debating if I want to do a keratin treatment so I can wear it straight and not drive myself crazy
I’ve been contemplating getting a keratin/smoothing system. Im not sure whether to get the arosci irs or Avlon texture release🧐 Glad to see a video with an update on these treatments, It so hard to find.
Hi Susan on my journey I started using the Arosci treatment and am now using the Avlon treatment this is because my hair stylist decided to change products but I haven't noticed any differences.
I really want Keratin on my hair I have 3c hair it's very hard to manage gets so tangled easily and the shrinkage my salon charges $300+ for Keratin treatment kinda pricey but I have heard good things about it.
Hi Lisa, I've had a good experience over the last 18 months with the treatments but that's from a 4C point of view I'm not sure how the treatment does with 3C hair. In London the cost of the treatment is £150 which I think is just under $200 but there are hair salons in London who charge more. I think it's all about finding the right person who is affordable.
Hi Destiny, I have a new wash day routine video and you can see what my curl pattern looks like and when my hair reverts to it's normal 4C texture: ua-cam.com/video/f9I66CkzBQc/v-deo.html
Hello there, I just got the liquid Keratin treatment. Can you please tell me what shampoo and conditioner you use Products to maintain your hair? How often do you wash your hair? Thanks
Do you still get the arosci and how much do you pay? I live in London and it seems not many do it anymore but the prices do vary on those that do. I’ve seen £185-200+
Hi Jada, Thanks for your comments! I've switched to the Avlon, simply because my hair dresser switched brands lol but I haven't noticed any difference. My hair stylist is based in London and he is a Keratin Treatment Specialist, his prices range from £140 - £180 depending on hair length. You can find him here: instagram.com/hairboyldn/?hl=en

Hi has your hair grown with the treatment?
Hi Jerrilyn, yes my hair has grown with the treatment and it's helped strengthen my hair which has helped with retention.
What porosity is your hair?
Did you try the GK keratin system? If any of you have tried the GK keratin system, please let me know.
Hey, no I haven't tried at the moment I am using the Avlon texture release but previously I've used the arosci irs
