They really need to lower the COST of wheelchair accessible vans in all of North America 70k is WAAAY TO FCKING STEEP. Also Cole you can actually have the passenger seat removable so a wheelchair can pull into the passenger side or driverside.
That’s ridiculous. It’s up to the people doing the work and risk and general suffering of production of the vehicle. Not you or me. I don’t even know how to make a engine or metal or paint or gasoline or screws or anything.
I bought my mobility van used, it was a 2014 Braun Ability Dodge Grand Caravan with 35,000 well cared for miles for $54,000 back in 2016. It retailed new for $65,000. It changed my world, as in opening it all up for me, all on my own! That kind of independence is precious for me! And it hauls my 350 pound powered ATV wheelchair with ease! I never ever thought I would own a minivan but I am one grateful dude in having one! Cole and Charisma you will love owning one of these!

It's amazing how things have changed for accessibility in vehicles I was completely impressed when I saw the van that they had at our conference

One of my neighbors has one of those trucks with the Lamborghini door and lift. When I see him at the post office or grocery, the men and kids surround his truck asking questions, and asking if their kids can go in it, like it’s a ride or something.

Your parents are amazing! Watching them do the transfer melt my heart! This is what lots of parents go through, even with caregiver present sometimes, they still have to come help out when we need them! I stopped working with people in the wheelchair for now but I go help sometime especially if I’m called. The two ladies I worked with have Toyota Sienna and Honda. I drove both of them, to and from work, they don’t drive. I love that Cole drives. My niece doesn’t drive either, she pays someone to drive her to and from work. You guys are amazing!

I have a 2013 Toyota Sienna BraunAblility Conversion. I don't drive so got the EZ Lock on the passenger side. It's roomy. With the kneel feature. It has a foldup electric ramp but can be done manually. It rides very smoothly.

I work for insurance company. I know there are carriers that if you do get into an accident and your carrier will repair it sometimes they will pay even for the modifications for vehicles like this. I am not referring to wear and tare repairs but if you're in an accident. Check with your agent or carrier of your insurance. I hope this helps you.
