I never hear upon introduction on radio stations of Kyrie, "iconic, timeless, haunting". Sorry I feel this song is all of these. I remember this track when first released and just liked it. Almost 40 years later I bought broken wings album. Waiting for delivery. I can't wait to put it in my hifi, then whack up the volume on repeat a few times. This song is such a feel good song and should be recognised as one of the greatest tracks from one of the greatest groups. Yup I love. Sticking on my portable hardrive for my own personal pleasure like a naughty boy
Does anyone realize that Kyrie Eleison means "Lord have Mercy"...so ergo Lord have Mercy down the road that I must travel...Lord have mercy through the darkness of the night, Lord Have mercy Lord have mercy down the road that I must travel!! In essence, Lord have Mercy wherever I go!!! This is an EPIC song....clearly stating by a secular band that states that through all our paths and ways we must be " UNDER THE METCY OF THE LORD"???? How absolutely awesome!!! It's Kyrie by Mr mister. Could be radio version, mix version, 12 inch version any version is the best.
It was erroneously released as the "extended version" on a recent reissue of the album. Probably where the confusion comes from.
