- The military rulers of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso have signed a mutual defense pact. The Alliance of Sahel States agreement commits the three to assist each other in case of an external attack. That could include an intervention like the one threatened by West African states against Niger's junta following its coup in July.

They wrote the constitution for their former colonies at Independence, making them effectively French provinces controlled by puppets playing the role of a French Governor. Whenever one of these puppets becomes patriotic and starts caring about his people and Africa, France would either intervene militarily to remove him or plot a Coup d'Etat against him. France NEVER LEFT AFRICA!

The ECOWAS leaders are lawfully elected, not a criminal organization that has overthrown three governments and is now sharing protection money.

France's African war can only be counterproductive without broad local support (and even with local support there's always a significant risk of alienating locals - through culture shock, collateral damage, and the actions of racist French soldiers. I never believed France's intervention would work, I'm sad to be proven right).
France's colonial past, and the lack of free media and education enable the new rulers.
France should be pragmatic (and stop dreaming of an empire that is long gone).
No matter how terrible these events are for the peoples of Africa, foreign intervention at this time will only make things worse.

I would give 5-10 years for passionate speechs at UN for the world to get back into Africa , and how it would be racist to ignore them . Then another 5-10 untill we go full circle.

I would really want every Westerner and European to support this initiative and more. Do you not know that the self sufficiency and self-reliance of Africa means less or no immigration to Europe? Do you not all want that? Don't you!?!
I have observed and come to the conclusion that in about ten years it is the West And Europe that will be begging for African immigrants. Like it or not Africa is changing in small ways but in five, ten years progress are seen just like the years prior.
