- Here i tear down a Sansui SE8 EQ with just the hopes of cleaning it and fixing an intermittent tape monitor switch, i end up hacking away to put a new LED light into it.
Hey I’ve bought this awesome Equalizer.
All works fine except the 1 KHz band of the spectrum Analyzer that always reach the maximum level.
Can be the capacitor in one of this Ten drivers with transistor that you showed ?

Hi could yu please tell what the components you use to make the rectifier i do not understand well about the diode et the resistor. Cheers
The diode is the rectifier for the AC to DC. the resistor is a current limiter and the little cap to smooth the DC pulses coming from the diode

Great video! I just recently upgraded from an SE-7 to an SE-8X. All the slider led's worked at first and now one is burned out!?!?! I'm thinking I will have to replace the entire slider.
You can take the slider apart to expose the tracks, Possible the "fingers" on the LED have gotten worn.
@@bassblasteraudiotech4918 I shot some DeOxit into the sliders and that seems to have corrected the problem...for now, anyway. There's a guy on eBay selling blue LED replacement lamps for the SE-8X. Kinda sharp looking.
@@henrychinaski5223 did you just blast it into the sliders through the faceplate? i have same problem....and i bought the blue leds, they are bright! I just have 5 leds off and the rest keep dimming a little.
@@bootloopgaming8642 Yep, right through the slots on the face plate. The LED that was dimming and going out has stayed on since I did this 5 months ago. Be sure to work the slider a bunch so that you get the DeOxit worked in.
@@henrychinaski5223 Yes, I was one of the few that purchased those blue LED's. Very cool upgrade. Simple & easy swap.
I have one of this here in Brazil. Unfortunately the spectrum analyser is not working properly (but all the rest is fine).
I would like to have a person with your knowledge here to try to repair this defect. And I know that the display is not burned (because the blue bars light up, but do not respond according to the sound).
tentou checar se o botão de pico está pressionado? ele segura os picos por mais tempo e faz com que o espectro demore mais para descer a barra, dando a sensação de delay no painel

none of the new eq's made these days are SHITE vs. these older units. Try & find new unit with same specs as these !
