You are strong with the force and willed the solder into place as mine will not go.

it always seem to work so perfectly when I see others doing it, then I do it an it looks like a train accident!

can we place the long side of the pins towards the micro-processor.

Hello :) Is the flux neccesary and do I need it if my solder states that it contains " stripper " ? I'm not exactly sure of the translation since I'm french and the solder states that some " Décapant " is incorporated in it ....

Im currently looking into soldering but i couldn't choose what type of wire to use. I'm a complete beginner and idk how to solder, what wire should I get for arduino components?

      Hi j j,
Wire thickness is often measured using AWG (American Wire Gauge). With AWG a lower number represents thicker wire. Typically you should use larger wire for power lines and thinner wire for signal lines. I would suggest something around 24 or 26 AWG would be a good size to start with for most projects. I would also recommend using silicon-coated wire, if possible, as opposed to PVC-coated, as silicon-coated wire is bit nicer to work with (IMHO).

Which temperature should I solder with?

I believe I heard in another video to use 250 - 260 degrees. Not sure if this is C or F now that I think of it, but I set my iron to 250 and it seemed to work well.

So pin header's long pins should be on top and short pins should be under right?

No, the short end of the pins are being soldered to the nano, with the longer ends being inside the breadboard
