@@unknownzay6392hot take, Edge of Action is better than Vexcalibur. Not as mobile but the guard lasts longer, over shields refill as soon as you enter the pudding cup, and it even gives a 5% damage boost that can stack with other sources. Makes you into a Paladin 😁

Since glaive projectiles stun, you can cancel a Wyvern dive by shooting them midair while they're diving. They complete their animations, but don't slam the ground and slide right past you. It's especially fun if you can get them to slide off an edge, because it counts as them being killed. Idk if you get the credit for it, though.

Maybe you could do the thing where melees give unravelling rounds and use a strand lmg? You know for barrier champs. Because of wanderer suspend and overload AR you can deal with all champs.
With grapple melee if you grapple a tangle you can either melee the tangle and enemies nearby to suspend and make threadlings, or use it only for the grapple refund and melee a group of enemies by angling the swing
good idea! suspend usually deals with the barrier champs pretty well, but that would cover all my bases. Any recommendation for a good dps strand heavy?@@_ghostly_

I think a good build that is not terribly standard for Strand Titan. Is Abeyant Leap, Drengr's Lash, Banner of War, Thin Precipice, Quicksliver Storm, (I like Null Composure for energy for close-up kills), Thread of Continuity, Thread of Mind, Thread of Warding, and Thread of Generation. Shackle Grenade. Resilience and Strength stats at 90 each. Constant healing, barricades (I use Rally Barricade so that I can shoot at the suspended targets more easily with a few weapon stat increases), woven mail and strung up targets. That keeps the combat close, makes large groups of enemies helpless puppets and then prepares my super to take out enemies not able to be suspended. Firepower, Distribution and Reaper mods added in for orbs and ability energy. The tangles are not as useful as with Into the Fray, but, the effect of the Abeyant Leap exotic makes up for it (in my mind, I am sure others have better set-ups/disagree which is cool :)) so that my tangles can be used by Hunter teammates for Whirling Maelstrom or Warlock's with Swarmers. Thoughts? For all my fellow TItan mains out there. Keep the wall strong!
You should try this with wormgod on void titan. You can run controlled demo with volatile rounds , tag them and get healed plus still running devour and I assume weapons of light stacks? Not sure. If not tractor and another void glaive could do the trick for big dps
This was/is my favorite build to use. Literally make it difficult for the enemy to kill you . Have been running this with my vex fashion for a few weeks.
I KNEW if I hung around these Will it build? videos long enough I'd see you make a Glaive rig. Even better that it looks like a beauty and uses a weapon I sweated for then dumped in a hole. Can't wait to try this. Cheers!
Another content creator Maven had a good Triton Vice build that I'd recommend, but where it's mostly using the shooting aspect of glaives for big explosions.
Also want to bring up that any Crota weapon for the top slot works great too as the melee from ANYTHING procs Cursed Thrall. With a glaive focused build like this with the melee you have 100% uptime on Cursed Thrall.
You could also use the fragment melee kills start health regen so you are getting health and overshield and don’t have to necessarily worry about devour if you don’t want negative stats etc
I love this build. The only thing I've changed about it is the following: Echo of Persistence, then use a strand primary with demolitionist and a heavy with demolitionist. Suppressor grenades have always been underrated in both PVE and PVP in my opinion.
I tried making a build with those Exotic Arms with solar but it didn't work out very well and ended up trashing it. Glad to see someone found a build that makes them good. Will definitely be adding this build to my loadouts.
Hey! I have a fun build for your hunter ...with Mothkeepers wraps +Ex Diris :) Idk about the name.. "Mothkeeper" maybe, lol STRAND SUBCLASS ABILITIES: gamblers dodge, whatever-jump and whatever grenade (exotic arms gonna change it to moths anyways) ASPECTS: threaded specter (for survivability, OR widows silk for additional grenade)/ whirling maelstrom. FRAGMENTS: thread of warding, transmutation, generation, fury. STATS: 100 resilience, 100 discipline, 50+ mobility ARTIFACT: blast radius(2column -3), from whence you came(2-5), wished into being(3-5), unravelling orbs(4-1), dragons bite(4-5), horde shuttle(5-1) WEAPON: strand autorifle (im using perpetualis with demolitionist perk), ex diris, whatever heavy MODS: Helmet: Ashes to assets and special ammo finder Arms: Firepower, bolstering detonation, fastball Chest: Charged up +some resist Legs: 2 arc surges Cloack: Time dilation, powerful attraction, special finisher GAMEPLAY: I like to start with melee to spawn tangle for spinner. Then spam with ex diris, switch to autorifle to spawn more tangles and special ammo. While spinner is damaging it gives you melee energy, or dodge near the enemy to refund your melee and throw it into your decoy (if u running aspect "threaded specter") There a nice synergy between wraps and ex diris when you kill someone with grenade launcher it spawns not 1 but 2 moths. Moths can be void and can give you or your teammate overshield which means its +survivability, and arc moths can blind big targets. Thats why I like to save 1 grenade ability for unstoppable champs if there are some). And if you on critical health -- throw grenade ability under your feet -- it will spawn void moths and give overshield. NOTE: Keep in mind that ex diris its a grenade launcher and can damage you if you killing enemies too close, so be careful. Not sure about this build in rly hight content like raids (never tested it) but with nightfalls and some dungeons its pretty good and fun 😜
Maybe it was just a seasonal artifact, but I seem to remember running a similar build with triton vice and both excalibur and enigma, and using them for awesome wave clear too. I know Gyrfalcon's gives much better wave clear with those types of builds, but Triton Vice with the buffed damage as well as the exotic perk giving intrinsic explosions was also insanely fun in low end content even though it wouldn't seem like it.
This works better on void titan because of synthos/wormgod and the increased grenade regen and health from volatile explosions. Titan vortex grenades are basically healing batteries for you and nearby allies.
@Mactics would you be able to make a guide for the triumph " Cut with Darkage Steel O Vengeance Mine" ? it's the triumph that makes you use bow/glaive/sword only, any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated
Was just thinking about a stasis shatterdive hunter build based on this… or dusk fields since melee damage is increased on frozen targets. Then you could utilize resist from the fragment that grants resist when near crystals or frozen enemies. or strand suspend dive version…
Hear me out, fun, semi-unkillable, arc titan tank: Striker Titan; Thruster, Thunderclap, Pulse Grenade; Touch of Thunder, Knockout; Resistance, Shock, Discharge, Amplitude; Riskrunner and Precious Scars; Dynamo, Ashes to Assets, Harmonic Siphon; Bolstering Detonation(s); (Any combo/lineup between): Innervation - Insulation - Arc Weapon Surge; Time Dilation, Powerful Attraction, Reaper In your face ad clear with lots of orbs for supers, grenade/class abilities, and extra damage with a happy-flashy-pew-pew. It's not the most effective, but it's pretty fun
I was using something like this for a bit trying to solo the first dungeon boss, but wasnt having much success. Good to know it has value in other areas of the game. Probably wouldve been happier with retrofit over a sword, kinda was limiting myself.
Ya know. I always just assumed to take down the constructor’s overshield so you could do damage you had to wait till the rotating shield was not obscuring the part you were hitting. I’ve learned something
Build idea Voidlock with feed the void and chaos accelerant. Choose vortex or scatter as the grenade. Nezeracs sin and graviton Lance. Echos of undermining, expulsion, remnants, and instability. Spec into grenade and melee regeneration. Double ashes to assets, grenade kickstart, Harmonic siphon and damage resist on top of whatever you’d like normally
This is seriously an awesome do anything build and I have used it since triton dropped for me. Tip shoot more and use special finisher. Not sure if it works with exchange or if it's just devour.... Test it

Dude you should use Vexcalibur with the Radiant Dance Machines build you showed off not too long ago
Glad to see am not the only one who made that build x'3
I made with the hunter exotic glaive with arc when it first came out, but then I went vexcalibur to try out somethin' more axed around surviving, and it did not disapoint~
This built is on warlock name is : ice god warlock Exotic weapon is wicked implement . Exotic armor is osmiomancy gloves.subclass is stasis. Abilitys,healing rift ,movement any,grenade coldsnap grenade,aspect, ice flare bolts,glacial harvest,fragments, refraction,fissures,rime,conduction,armor modes, helmet:ashes to assets, heavy ammo finder,harmonic siphon gloves: bolstering detonation,focusing strike,firepower,chest:concussive dampener,sniper damage resistance,charged up,legs:elemental charge, innervation x2, bond:time dilation ,powerful attraction,bomber, that it have fun whit it😂😂❤❤
Mainly is good for end game
Learned how to use Vex wen unstop glaive was around I can’t wait to try this build with it
Wormgod caress + Winterbite + Banner of war = BIG BOY DAMAGE
Is that Destiny Data compendium you looked at the info for the over shield public? Seems like a great resource!
Literally just MWd my Triton's Vice for an arc glaive build and am loving it for mid-level content. Really curious to try out this void one.
Good to see some Vexcalibur love! Been a favourite of mine since I got it
I think a good build that is not terribly standard for Strand Titan.
Tried a few if these type builds in Season of the Deep. It wasnt bad. May have to retry it after the glaive buffs.
"Now you see me" crossbow build (buried bloodline and gyrfalcons) chefs kiss. Permanent devour and invis.
You should try this with wormgod on void titan. You can run controlled demo with volatile rounds , tag them and get healed plus still running devour and I assume weapons of light stacks? Not sure. If not tractor and another void glaive could do the trick for big dps
Those gauntlets are amazing with the hunter exotic glaive.
I run a similar build on my warlock but use narcotic grips. Glave melee hits and kills spread poison with them.
You gotta try vexcaliber with banner of war/woven mail 1-2 punch strand shotty…unkillable build
It’s fun but there’s still plenty of things that can kill you.
Ran this glaive last night on onslaught. I urge you to try it. Everybody keeps overshields, everything dies, and it's just stupid fun.
So, one thing to note with glaives is that they do not use special ammo when melee attacking which is super good.
Hey! I have a fun build for your hunter
...with Mothkeepers wraps +Ex Diris :)
Idk about the name.. "Mothkeeper" maybe, lol
STRAND SUBCLASS
ABILITIES: gamblers dodge, whatever-jump and whatever grenade (exotic arms gonna change it to moths anyways)
ASPECTS: threaded specter (for survivability, OR widows silk for additional grenade)/ whirling maelstrom.
FRAGMENTS: thread of warding, transmutation, generation, fury.
STATS: 100 resilience, 100 discipline, 50+ mobility
ARTIFACT: blast radius(2column -3), from whence you came(2-5), wished into being(3-5), unravelling orbs(4-1), dragons bite(4-5), horde shuttle(5-1)
WEAPON: strand autorifle (im using perpetualis with demolitionist perk), ex diris, whatever heavy
MODS:
Helmet: Ashes to assets and special ammo finder
Arms: Firepower, bolstering detonation, fastball
Chest: Charged up +some resist
Legs: 2 arc surges
Cloack: Time dilation, powerful attraction, special finisher
GAMEPLAY:
I like to start with melee to spawn tangle for spinner. Then spam with ex diris, switch to autorifle to spawn more tangles and special ammo. While spinner is damaging it gives you melee energy, or dodge near the enemy to refund your melee and throw it into your decoy (if u running aspect "threaded specter")
There a nice synergy between wraps and ex diris when you kill someone with grenade launcher it spawns not 1 but 2 moths.
Funny how I wasn't really liking Vexcalibur for a while, this might make me use it again. Gonna give it a shot
I was LITERALLY just theory crafting this last night and now you’ve posted it 😭😂
Wow. Sooo stoked to try this! I'm gonna fire this up then use it to go get the catalyst ;P
I wonder if this is usable (with a couple of obvious weapon changes) for the sword/glaive/bow triumph in Ruin...
I'm sure it would be! As long as you have Leviathan's Breath for the boss, you can pretty much run whatever build you want.
all the encounters there have boss fights so tbh leviathans breath is needed
@@talhajahan4444regular swords can definitely work in 1st encounter, but yeah after that it’s Levi’s breath
This build looked incredibly fun to play, awedome vidja 🎉
You think he would enjoy the Karnstine armlets build for warlock?
I kinda want to build that. I never ran void hunter and i LOOOVE Vexcalibur.
Vexcalibur with triton vice is so broken, I love it.
Plunder did a similar build to this a week or two ago -- still with vexcalibur, but on solar.
You need replenishing aegis to reload the glave as you block damage that way you can shoot and get the shield back faster
Triton vice reloads on a melee kill. You never need to hard reload it.
@@ZetzMemp true but with aegis you can block damage and it reloads you can tank a lot of damage with that.
You can tell that Mac just flat hates glaives because he didn't know anything about how they function, even the exotic perks lol
0:01I'm hoping this video makes me not think glaives are stupid.
10:47 Im intrigued. 🤔
Ran this build the whole way through deep stone and had no big issues. It was really fun
Mactics P.I. with that stache game popping.
Dang! I was literally working on making a build using Vexcalibur and those gloves for you. :( oh well!
Try wormgod on Titan with strand and vexcalibur
U can melee even faster by spamming the jump button as you melee+block
I am loving all of your will it build videos. Keep them coming. 💪 😁
This works better on void titan because of synthos/wormgod and the increased grenade regen and health from volatile explosions. Titan vortex grenades are basically healing batteries for you and nearby allies.
Plunder booty made an excellent warlock build with uses multiple subclasses abilities and one definitely check it out wonder if you can improve it. 😮
@Mactics would you be able to make a guide for the triumph " Cut with Darkage Steel O Vengeance Mine" ?
it's the triumph that makes you use bow/glaive/sword only, any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated
I think I'm gonna try this build but with a warlock rocking briar binds. I see lots of potential in just the setup alone.
use necrotic instead Imo
@@talhajahan4444 definitely a solid pick too. Definitely gonna try that out too.
I wonder if this could work on every class in some fashion
Karnstein armlets on warlock are hilarious if you finish an enemy before a stabbing spree you get infinite restoration X2
pretty sure synthos and wormgods work with glaives now
@@max73916 Does it work with void titan?
Was just thinking about a stasis shatterdive hunter build based on this… or dusk fields since melee damage is increased on frozen targets. Then you could utilize resist from the fragment that grants resist when near crystals or frozen enemies. or strand suspend dive version…
Hear me out, fun, semi-unkillable, arc titan tank:
Striker Titan;
Thruster, Thunderclap, Pulse Grenade;
Touch of Thunder, Knockout;
Resistance, Shock, Discharge, Amplitude;
Riskrunner and Precious Scars;
Dynamo, Ashes to Assets, Harmonic Siphon;
Bolstering Detonation(s);
(Any combo/lineup between): Innervation - Insulation - Arc Weapon Surge;
Time Dilation, Powerful Attraction, Reaper
In your face ad clear with lots of orbs for supers, grenade/class abilities, and extra damage with a happy-flashy-pew-pew. It's not the most effective, but it's pretty fun
I was using something like this for a bit trying to solo the first dungeon boss, but wasnt having much success. Good to know it has value in other areas of the game.
Probably wouldve been happier with retrofit over a sword, kinda was limiting myself.
Was fun seeing Mactics finally finding out how Vexcalibur works lol 😁 should get that Grave Robber catty tho
Love this series❤
this build gonna be so cracked with strand woven mail resistance.
Ya know. I always just assumed to take down the constructor’s overshield so you could do damage you had to wait till the rotating shield was not obscuring the part you were hitting. I’ve learned something
I used this in ghosts of the deep when it launched with gyrfalcons way back it’s so damn good
Try it with stasis shard overshield fragment! I love that combo, plus the damage resistance from being near stasis crystals.
Ngl I really like vexcalibur with guarding aegis. You almost never have to reload. It’s just a shame it also didn’t roll with destabilizing rounds
Run this on a titan with synthoceps would probably work well. especially with all the other stuff void titan gets for having an overshield.
Build idea
Voidlock with feed the void and chaos accelerant.
Bungie name JoshOHRama#4009
Man someone beat me to it, i was just planning on making a build around this combo tonight 😭
This is seriously an awesome do anything build and I have used it since triton dropped for me. Tip shoot more and use special finisher. Not sure if it works with exchange or if it's just devour.... Test it
I’d also give Plunder’s Vexcalibur build ago if you can
I’m not a glaive fan but this glaive build seems pretty fun and powerful. 1000 silver well earned my friend.
If he likes it, I like it. I'm going to make a preset now.
Glaives are incredible after the recent buffs. I just hope word doesn’t get out too much because then they’ll be nerfed.
Seen this and now I gotta get the upgrades for vexcaliber
It might not be as potent, but I think using a Winterbite with a melee Stasis build would be pretty fun too
Please make this a full build guide, I’m dying for a good glaive build man
The vexcalibur catalyst is so awful to get.......thats why i did it during The Craftening!!
Wow that’s a fun looking glaive build!
