Well done! I thought the dice gods had deserted you for a while there! I think that in a HL campaign a 'boring mission' is great as it gives you some breathing space. Some of those scramble missions can be hard though if your pilot roster is thin. It does give you a sense of how this would be in real life though, where surprise tactics by the enemy can cause you a real planning headache.
Thanks for these videos. I knew I could like one of the games in this series, I just had to find the right person playing and explaining. I like this a lot more than what i've seen of corsair leader or phantom leader. I am looking forward to watching your apache/thunderbolt leader videos after this series. I have a question - at 7:50 you correctly point out that you could have done evasive maneuvers. But i looked at the rulebook - doesn't that require taking a guaranteed 2 stress? it seems a bad decision to do when the site is unlikely to do more than 2 stress to you anyway. but I am brand new to this so maybe i misunderstand the rule, or maybe i don't know of some other factor in play - could you explain?
Sorry, after watching these videos, you know the game now better than I do :D I´s been six years since I uploaded this, and I don´t think I´ve played the game again since then :( Thanks for watching!
also i want to know if these missions so far are really that easy or if you're just such an exceptional player that you make it look easy? i havent really seen you take any attacks to your planes except that event card, you are just wiping out the enemy.
I´m not sure...I´m trying to plan the missions like a chess game and avoid as many problems as possible. Maybe later missions of the series are harder...I don´t really remember. If you want less control, maybe the TAL game is more interesting for you then...
Outstanding review as always. I played Hornet Leader last fall but didn't try the Taiwan campaign. Enjoy watching how you do.

Yep....but I couldn´t complain in the first mission, so I guess luck is with me...:-)
I never played that....but yes, you definitely suffer with your pilots and celebrate their pomotions!
I´m also happy about these kind of missions, but the viewer is probably not on the edge of his seat...:-)

Thanks a lot! :-)
It´s more interesting, eh??
Well, I think you´ll have to wait for the expansions.....
Greetings
Let's hope you'll roll better when you're in a bit more danger!
Anymore fortune and glory jo?

Good lord, what did you do to offend the dice god's? Or, the carriers stockpile of AIM-7 Sparrows was defective.
Maybe some kind of sabotage...?
