  • This was a 14 miles ride that took place a few weeks ago with Mr. S and me. It was about 70 degrees. During this ride, we rode through a community and we were trying to get to the other side. We got a little turned around on how to get to the other side. You can see there are times when the drone was trying to figure things out. The drone switches the tracking from me to Mr s. The drone is amazing because all it knows how to Skydio 2 is follow you. The views in this video are amazing. We had to stop and switch the battery on the Skydio 2. You’ll see me getting the drone connected with the beacon and my cell phone. It’s funny to see me rocking back and forth. The ending is very climatic in nature. You can’t see this but this is uphill. You can see me grinding when I was going uphill. As we make that last left on to new bethel church rd the drone was reading a 2% battery but I was thinking it was reading 5% remaining. Well the drone landed and we were about 1/8 of mike from it, and thankfully it landed on a less busy road than some of our other busy roads in Garner.

Wow, guy, when you said "the lord was smiling on you that day" because your S2 was not run-over, I think he was smiling on you for your entire ride! You had some amazing swoops & other incredibly close encounters with power lines and a few bare-brach trees too! The S2 is practically blind to such obstacles. Not only did yours miss them all, it resulted in some amazing video indeed! Thank you for sharing.

21:32... yikes... That was too close. Mine got stuck in a tree but thankfully weaved its way out. They are cool but not foolproof. Looking forward to the next video!

Nice scenery and roads without a lot of traffic. Seems like a lot of new construction in the area. I've seen videos where the vlogger/rider was able to show their current bike computer info on the screen. It would be interesting to see your speed, cadence and angle of incline/decline while you're doing those hills.

You really put the Skydio through its paces in this video. Have you ever thought of touring 1 of the university campuses or maybe a visit to the coast. Be fantastic to see more of your great state.

This is SO COOL! Do you conduct classes on how to accomplish this piece technological wizardry? Good to see you out. My wife and I did our first ride of the season. Explored uncharted territory on the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT). 15.1 miles; beautiful day.
So, the drone it able to self navigate around obstacles, i.e. power lines and trees? Man, the Lord indeed had your back. That drone landing was picture perfect. Big fun. Thanks for posting.

Do more of these videos this is one of the best trike videos I've seen .
I have a catrike road pre-suspension Era trike and like to ride fast like you and your Buddy , I also own a Performer Trike with the 700c rear wheel , the road has 20 inch rims all around .
I put wheel covers on front and will put one on back soon .
Check out velocityvelos for a slick wheel cover .
Thanks the video was very interesting I like drones as well and this was the best follow me I've seen , a little schetchy when the van went under the drone , great watching the obstacle avoidance working in the trees .

Awesome ride and video George. I better buy some new toys to catch up to you! You are very fast on the learning curves with theses items and your editing and music is super. One small suggestion if you are going to ride on these roadways...... get yourself some colorful flags and some flashing rear and front lights. Have to keep safe. I have found buying very inexpensive kites and using their bright colors on my flat minutes is super and save a lot of cash. The flashing great lights should be mandatory.....including on on your helmet! Your buddy has one!Best wishes....keep,riding and posting.

On my way back from Florida I drove throughNC all the way to Richmond, Va. it would have been a bad time of day to stop. The trip was long but smooth. Weather up here is ok so far. Been triking everyday a a few rounds of golf so far. Come visit and stay with us on the Cape this summer. Keep up the great videos.

Those look like very thin tires, how often would you end up getting a flat tire?
Are flats easy to repair on trikes?
George would you ever go back to riding a diamond frame bike?
