Mostly just the process is what helps me. Painting feels easier once I understand shading and positions while drawing. You make learning easier just by being you so thank you again!
I'm so pleased to see you uploaded! (and also a Mary Blair video no less)! I've never felt so compelled in a youtube comment to let the creator know just how great their videos are but this is the exception! Really lovely video and always really informative!! ♥
It is probably too late for Halloween this year, but it would be great to see you do one of Yale Gracey's backgrounds for 1952's Trick or Treat. Maybe next year.
Wow, this piece is really complicated - that mix of pastels on the buildings. It's so fascinating to see all the elements come together. ----I often pick a classic horror movie to revisit each year. I watched the 1922 Nosferatu - and am excited about the new version by Robert Eggers coming out in December. I'd also like to watch Demeter this month. So definitely got a Dracula theme going on.
Complicated is right! Good word for it. And yes! I'm so curious about the Eggers version of Nosferatu... I loved VVitch. And I saw a trailer for Demeter and thought it looked interesting too. Let me know what you think. I love Dracula lore.
Could you make a video about different ways to paint or draw eyes, faces and noses. Using gouache is tricky and doing a cartoon style like this is hard for a beginner.
Thank you so much! And thank you for reminding me about the link to the Mary Blair video! Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/e5NfYqpkTrY/v-deo.htmlsi=nMve56dMUPrP7OHm
I saw Ringu a long time ago but wasn't able to actually watch it cause I was too scared. But, I'm going to revisit it after seeing the remake... I can imagine it's a better film. What's your favourite horror movie?
@@children_of_the_craft They are not very scary by today's standards, but the old horror films from the Hammer studio in England have beautiful cinematography and gorgeous color palettes. Hands of the Ripper is a favorite of mine.

Oh and it may not be a classic but I want to watch A Quiet Place ...but not alone! O:
;)
The Hollywood remake of Ring is pretty good, but it is not too hard to find the Japanese original with subtitles, and that is super spooky.
