Sounds great! I also have a Bose sub1 and two Bose S1pro for my home dj setup and was wondering how many people this could be used for in an indoor small/medium event. I haven't had the chance to test it out myself but believe it would play for 70 people max?
Man I have a s1 pro, and I played in outdoor usage, the bass sounds heartbreaking 😢, will sub1 adding could save this problem? Around 50 people in outdoor party..
Hello could you please show how you set this up. I has a tone match mixer and am struggling with hissing feedback from both speakers when I put everything together 😢
I just bought a set of 2x s1 pro and 1xsub1 and unfortunately I think it will be difficult to DJ for 50 people. The bass above a certain volume simply knocks as if it had no excursion and there is no bass, only an impact can be heard. Now I don't know whether to buy a second sub1 or replace it with one sub2. If anyone has this set, please try playing the song Katchi by Offenbach and write whether there is any bass knocking at loud levels?
Hi Piotrb, just noticed the post, if the subs are bottoming out or knocking then the input gain is probably too high, usually 10 - 11 o clock is ample, but never pass 12 o clock.
I have 1x Sub1 and 2x S1 Pro. I would like to know specifically what frequencies the bass plays at if I have LINE IN EQ set to LPF???, because I understand that on L1 it plays from 40 to 150Hz??? And I want to know exactly what frequencies the LINE OUT EQ sends a signal at if I turn on the HPF in white, and at what frequency if I hold down 4s and turn on the HPF in green??? (green, I guess from 150Hz up, but how much exactly at HPF in white???
After many attempts to set up the Bose equipment, I must admit that I am satisfied. First of all, you cannot increase the volume on the speakers too much if you use an external mixer - the bass setting at 1 p.m. is quite sufficient for two Bose S1 Pro. For me the best setting is LINE IN EQ to LPF, and line out EQ to HPF (white). I don't like setting HPF to green, what about you?

I have also bought a Bose Sub 1 and two Bose S1 Pro. I tried connecting an external yamaha mixer to the system and used an aux cord to play music. I have an incredible hiss in the speakers when connected via the sub. Bose S1 Pro volume is at 12 o'clock. I saw another video on youtube where a man describes exactly my problem. ua-cam.com/video/YM81M5gwq48/v-deo.html Do you have the same problem? You can, of course, turn down the volume on the S1 Pro speakers, but you have to turn down the volume quite a bit for them to be silent. Around 9 o'clock it's quiet, but that's quite a lot of volume reduction I think, too much to be honest! I tried connecting my Bose Sub 1 to an active Yamaha DXR10 speaker and it is completely silent compared to when I am connected to a Bose S1 Pro. I feel a bit cheated, if I knew this in advance I would have invested in another sub and not bose's own. When I watch your video, you don't mention anything about this at all. Many people speak highly of this speaker combination, but I don't understand why more people bring it up. I rented out this combination and the customer immediately called me and asked why there was so much hum in the speakers. I could only tell him to turn down the volume on the Bose S1 pro.
The only thing I would say is Bose equipment has very high gain settings, whereas most equipment you can just set to 12 o'clock and forget it, Bose seems to work better set to 9 or 10 o'clock on the volume inputs. Or the other thing is just to check your cables.
Great set up 👍

Easily 100 people.

Absolutely 👍. Sub 2 is so overkill unless your playing Rap or Hip Hop ….. it’s really overpriced and way too boomy. Sub 1 sounds better I think?
I love bass.you can always lower the Bass.at least in sub 2 .you can make S1 the Best it can be.
The update helped a lot with that, brand new out of the box it was too boomy and the driver was distorting, getting hot.

Nice set up!
How you connect those S1 pros to sub?
Using xlr to jack microphone leads.
Or just go line out from S1-Pro ….to a powered sub channel one.
Que cables y como conecto mis 2 s1 pro al sub 1 bose ?
Do you think that subwoofer the sub 1 can keep it up with a 10 in pa speaker like jbl. Ev etc?
Yes it would blow it out of the water!

I don't know the exact crossover frequencies but it does sound much smoother with the Sub in the dedicated S1Pro setting.
I have the same set up, do you think it can handle a audience of 120 people with a mixer?

You need a female xlr from the sub output to a quarter inch mono jack into the S1 Pro.
