It's difficult to answer, you hear the bass at the back of the venue definitely with the added sub, it does appear much louder and fills the room better, also by using the filter on the sub to remove the lower bass frequencies hitting the Compact, the Compact can play louder before the red light starts to limit, so yes I think the overall throw is increased.

The update is only for the sub, I don't know about the power stand. The main difference on the first update was lowering the input gain. Originally it was way too high putting too much volume through the sub causing them to bottom out. The update smoothed all this out and made it much more usable. Also there was other small adjustments. New products appear to be already updated to the latest version.

Simple, just use the 1/4 inch jack TRS leads from the T4s straight in to channel 1 or 2 on the S1Pro.

After many attempts to set up the Bose equipment, I must admit that I am satisfied. First of all, you cannot increase the volume on the speakers too much if you use an external mixer - the bass setting at 1 p.m. is quite sufficient for two Bose S1 Pro. For me the best setting is LINE IN EQ to LPF, and line out EQ to HPF (white). I don't like setting HPF to green, what about you?

I don't know the exact crossover frequencies but it does sound much smoother with the Sub in the dedicated S1Pro setting.

Hi Piotrb, just noticed the post, if the subs are bottoming out or knocking then the input gain is probably too high, usually 10 - 11 o clock is ample, but never pass 12 o clock.

I just bought a set of 2x s1 pro and 1xsub1 and unfortunately I think it will be difficult to DJ for 50 people. The bass above a certain volume simply knocks as if it had no excursion and there is no bass, only an impact can be heard. Now I don't know whether to buy a second sub1 or replace it with one sub2. If anyone has this set, please try playing the song Katchi by Offenbach and write whether there is any bass knocking at loud levels?

​@@kenntaronI sold sub1 and bought sub2. Now I play on a set of 2xS1 Pro + sub2 DJ parties up to 40 people. If I have more guests, I take 2xRCF Art 422.

Update, do the update which will iron out most of the problems and use the sub at a lower gain 10 - 11 o clock and it will be fine.

I know the answer, it is the same device from one plant 😅 only Eurolite has additional input for wireless communication...

There are different programs and other small differences, but I don't know why one is so expensive. That said, both of my Eurolite Cat 80's failed and had to be sent back. They both worked fine running through auto programs but as soon as they where in sound to light mode, the roller, gobo etc... would just stick in one position, so frustrating, turn the music down and it would start moving again, tried everything, set the volume as low as possible but didn't make a difference. Would love to know if anyone else had the same problem.

In a short answer yes, I have used it everywhere in big and small venues no problem. It does go very loud 129db's, there is a master bass boost tone control, which does work great but can cause the sound to start limiting on bass heavy tracks. Love the simple set up and the mixer has all the inputs you will ever need. Bluetooth works brilliantly. Purchased speaker slip covers from Thomann which work very well. The click lock speaker mounts underneath are so easy to use as well. The 10inch drivers are different from standard Yamaha DBR10 speakers etc.. noticed the Stagepass has 6 screws holding the driver in as apposed to 4 screws on the DBR10. The Stagepass produces much more bass. Ideally for big venues you can attach a sub but I have never really bothered with that. But the you really need to hear one in person as everyone's perception of sound is different.

Yes, trs jack to jack lead from l/r on mixer into channel 3 and 4 with pan on channel 3 set to hard left and channel 4 hard right to get proper stereo.

How does the T4S mixer connect to just the L1 compact? I do acoustic gigs and have been thinking about getting the T4S but all the videos I see are just the L1 compact with the T1 mixer 🙄. Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Just use a standard TRS jack to jack lead and set all the channel pan controls to the middle for a mono output if you are using a single compact. @@gmmusic9749

After doing a few gigs with a Tone match T4s, I now use the sub set at 0 when using the DJ playback at high volume setting on the T4s mixer and the bass on my media player is turned back to 9 o'clock, otherwise it bottoms out. If I am not using my T4s mixer, running flat out of my media player I can get away with setting the sub at 10 or 12 o'clock depending on type of music. I don't know why Bose set the volume to start at +10b? It should have been 0db then no one would have had any problems. +10b gain is a lot!

Neither, I use 2 Bose Compacts, either on their own or with the Sub1 depending on the size of the room. Using the T4s in DJ playback mode turbo charges the sound anyway, but by adding the Sub1 as well it produces enormous sound. Ironically though I get more complaints from hotels about the bass when I am just using the compacts?

@@alanmatthews255 When in the DJ Playback mode, are you using high volume or low volume preset as just engaging the DJ Preset doesn't do anything until you select the High or Love Volume preset.

The only thing I would say is Bose equipment has very high gain settings, whereas most equipment you can just set to 12 o'clock and forget it, Bose seems to work better set to 9 or 10 o'clock on the volume inputs. Or the other thing is just to check your cables.

According to to bose volume knob at 0 is actually +10 db

You need a female xlr from the sub output to a quarter inch mono jack into the S1 Pro.
